  • Patent number: 7830950
Abstract: For processing a sequence of samples of a signal, it is assumed that the signal comprises a carrier that is modulated by a code composed of a sequence of chips. A method of wiping-off an influence by the carrier on the sequence of samples and downsampling the sequence of samples (step 105; step 205; step 301) is shown, as well as utilizing the downsampled sequence of samples as a new sequence of samples for further processing (step 108; step 209; step 302). Also shown are a corresponding processing component 72, a corresponding electronic device 71, a corresponding system, a corresponding software program code and a corresponding software program product.

  • Publication number: 20100135363
Abstract: The invention relates to supporting an acquisition of a signal, wherein the signal comprises a sequence of complex valued samples, wherein the acquisition comprises an integration of the complex valued samples in subsequent integration intervals, and wherein the signal may be subject to a frequency drift. In order to enable an improved acquisition, a phase angle is estimated in the signal in a respective integration interval (step 504). The samples are adjusted based on the estimated phase angle in a respective integration interval (step 505). Only the adjusted samples from a plurality of integration intervals are then integrated (step 507, 508).

  • Patent number: 6865172
Abstract: The invention relates to a receiving method and a receiver to be used in a cellular radio system. The received signal is FFT transformed and the spreading code of the receiver is FFT transformed in transform means (30). A transformed signal (36) and spreading code (37) are multiplied to provide a product (38) whose phase is shifted by the propagation delay of the signal in shift means (33). After this, a shifted product (39) is IFFT transformed in inverse transform means (34) at the same time as the components of the transmitted signals that have propagated on different paths are combined, whereby the information of the signal can be detected.

  • Patent number: 6580701
Abstract: The invention relates to interpretation of a transmitted signal from signals obtained at the signal reception end from an antenna vector including several antenna elements. The inventive idea is to interpret the signal in two steps. In the first step, directed signal beams are formed of the multidimensional signal obtained from the antenna vector. In the second step, the directed signals are input to an optimum merger which deduces the transmitted signal from several signal branches used as input.
