  • Publication number: 20120036496
Abstract: A high availability method enabling addition and removal of an application plug-in comprises launching the high availability system using a processor, said high availability system having an application framework (AMF), requesting data obtainable by the application plug-in from the application framework, and when the application plug-in does not exist in the application framework, registering the application plug-in in the application framework. AMF can comprise a list of additional application plug-ins. The list can comprises a unique id, a name, and a path to dynamic load libraries for each application plug-in. AMF can add the application plug-in by adding the application plug-in dynamic load library files to the installation folder and adding application plug-in information to the configuration file. AMF can remove the application plug-in by deleting the application plug-in dynamic load library files from the installation folder and deleting the application plug-in information from the configuration file.

  • Patent number: 6623306
Abstract: A printed circuit board (23) used in a modular jack (1) includes a plurality of insertion holes (231, 232) defined through an upper side and a lower side thereof. A conductive layer coating (235) coats an inside of each insertion hole and a conductive base ring (236) forms a rim around each end of each hole. A solder mask (230) covers portions of a front and a rear surfaces of the printed circuit board around the insertion holes. The solder mask covers over the base rings and extends a short distance into each insertion hole, thereby increasing a creepage distance between conductive layer coatings of adjacent holes. This protects the printed circuit board from short circuiting.

  • Patent number: 6379167
Abstract: A multimedia card electrical connector (1) includes an insulative housing (10), a plurality of terminals (12) and an ejector mechanism (13) mounted on the housing The ejector mechanism has a push-rod (130) forming an actuator (135) at an end section thereof, a rotatable bifurcated cam (132) defining an edge (141) at an end thereof, a torsional spring(131) engaging with the cam and a compression spring (133) encircling the push-rod. A front side of a multimedia card (2) inserted into the connector pushes an ejecting tab (140) of the cam against a force of the torsional spring and the push-rod is permitted to move to a rearward position. At this position, the edge of the cam abuts against a side the actuator, which serves to prevent a pivotal movement of the cam which would eject the inserted card out of the insulative housing. To eject the card, the push-rod is forwardly pushed by an external force so that the actuator is disengaged from the cam.

  • Patent number: 6361339
Abstract: An electronic card connector includes an insulating housing (10) defining a plurality of passageways (104) therein, a plurality of conductive terminals (13) received in the passageways, and an integrally formed ejector mechanism (12). The ejector mechanism includes two bars (120, 121) substantially perpendicularly to each other. An ejection tab (123) rearwardly and downwardly depends from a free end of one bar for abutting an electronic card (2) received in the housing. An actuation portion (124) is provided on a free end of the other bar. When a lateral force is exerted on the actuation portion, the bars rotate, and the first ejection tab moves rearwardly to eject the electronic card out of the connector.

  • Patent number: 6319028
Abstract: An electrical connector (1) adapted for providing an interconnection between an electronic card (2) and a printed circuit board includes an insulative housing (10), a plurality of electrical contacts (12) received in the insulative housing and an ejector mechanism mounted in one side of the insulative housing. The ejector mechanism has a push-rod (136) pushed outwardly by two first spring elements (130), a push block (131) pushed outwardly by a second spring element (142) and an actuator (143) for locking the push-rod in a card-engaged position. An inward acting force against the push block unlocks the actuator and releases the push-rod to eject an inserted card.

  • Patent number: 6296527
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing and a contact module. The contact module in the shape of the letter L includes a plurality of contacts and a contact fixing block, the contacts being insert molded into the contact fixing block. The contact fixing block includes a vertical portion and a horizontal portion extending from a lower end of the vertical portion. The contacts each include solder tail downwardly extending from a bottom face of the contact fixing block in two rows. The area of the bottom of the contact fixing block is comparatively large, thus the solder tails can be positioned in a large range for meeting different layout requirements of PCBs.

  • Patent number: 6257935
Abstract: An RJ-45 receptacle connector (2) for preventing insertion of a noncomplementary plug connector therein includes a dielectric housing (4) defining a receiving space (44) therein, a terminal module (5), an anti-mismating mechanism (7), and front and back shields (6,1). The anti-mismating mechanism (7) includes a pair of spring member 71, each having a base (72) fixed to the dielectric housing, a resilient stem (73) extending forwardly through the sidewall into the receiving space, a curved portion (732) formed near a free end (724) of the stem, and a stop tongue (75) extending from the resilient stem into a channel (49) defined in an upper wall (42). A smaller, noncomplementary plug connector is blocked from entry by the stop tongues projecting into the channel. Entrance of the complementary connector however, forces the curved portions aside, which moves the stop tongues from the connector's path, allowing full insertion of the complementary connector.
