Abstract: A method for a network system to send location service request to a network user is provided. The method includes receiving a network client initiated location request including information associated with a first event and information associated with a second event. The method further includes processing the location request. Additionally, if the second event is determined to have occurred by the network system, the network system sends an event message to the network user including information associated with the first event. Moreover, the method includes returning a second receipt acknowledgment of the event message to the network client. In an alternative embodiment, a method for a network system to send a cancellation of a previous deferred location request to a network user is provided.

Abstract: A method for synchronizing location trigger information, a location device, and a Secure User-Plane Location (SUPL)-Enabled Terminal (SET) includes: receiving a request for synchronizing location trigger information from a location User Equipment (UE), where the request carries the user identifier information of the user; from the correspondingly stored user identifier information and location trigger information, obtaining the location trigger information corresponding to the user identifier information of the location user; and generating a response message that carries the obtained location trigger information and sending the response message to the location UE.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a system for processing a streaming media service are provided. The method comprises: adding a user identifier required for authentication to a Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) request message; and sending the RTSP request message including the user identifier required for authentication to an RTSP server, so that the RTSP server performs user authentication according to the user identifier required for authentication. The apparatus comprises: a processing module and a sending module. The system includes: an RTSP server and an RTSP proxy. In embodiments of the present invention, a user identifier required for authentication is directly carried when an RTSP request message is sent, so that no extra server needs to be added to acquire the user identifier, thus simplifying the process of acquiring the user identifier in the streaming media service, saving the service cost, and expanding the service application scope.

Abstract: An embodiment handling method after the update of privacy profile of a target UE is disclosed. When LCS system is aware that the privacy profile of a target UE was updated, for every outstanding Location Request against the target UE, the LCS system performs a new privacy check based on the updated privacy profile. If the location request passes the privacy check, the LCS continues to handle the location request; if the location request fails in the privacy check, the LCS initiates a cancellation procedure to the location request. The LCS system can perform a new privacy check for the location request based on the updated privacy profile of the target UE, and implement corresponding processing depending on the result of the privacy check, e.g., for a location request that fails in the privacy check, the LCS system initiates a cancellation procedure.
