  • Patent number: 8853993
Abstract: A control system for an in-vehicle solar energy charger, comprising a solar cell panel, a solar energy charger, a starting battery, a power battery and a controller. The solar energy charger, the starting battery and the power battery are electrically connected to the controller respectively. The controller is configured for performing a maximum photovoltaic power tracking algorithm and controlling an output power of the solar energy charger for charging the power battery or starting battery, according to an input power of the solar energy charger.

    Assignee: BYD Company Limited
Inventors: Zhenjie Wu, Xiaofeng Shen, Jianhua Zhang
  • Patent number: 8775252
Abstract: The invention is a digital information display system (10), comprised of an electronically controlled display (20), usually used to display advertising, A video camera (30) is used to detect one or more viewers in the audience who are paying attention (100) to the display (20), and if so which part of the display (30). Based on which part of the display has the viewers attention, the advertising displayed is adjusted in real-time and based on the viewer analysis to promote continued attention from the viewer. It is an advantage of the invention that the display is able to continuously present relevant advertising content, and with reduced delay, to an audience by using its passive observation and analysis capabilities.

  • Patent number: 6961718
Abstract: An encoder and associated vector estimation method and system (1) for processing a sequence of input vectors (y0 to yT) each comprising a plurality of elements. The vector estimation system (1) has a digital filter (2) with a filter vector input (3) for receiving said sequence of input vectors (y0 to yT) and a predictor gain input (4) for controlling characteristics of the filter (2). The filter (2) is a Kalman filter and has both a current slowly evolving filter estimate output (6) and a previous slowly evolving filter estimate output (20). The current slowly evolving filter estimate output (6) provides a current filtered estimate value of a slowly evolving component of said sequence of input vectors (y0 to yT) and the previous slowly evolving filter estimate output (20) provides a previous filtered estimate value of the slowly evolving component of said sequence of input vectors (y0 to yT).
