Abstract: The disclosure provides a process method and apparatus for preventing an alarm jitter, which are applied to an ASON system. The method comprises: obtaining a time interval weight T between generation and recovery of an alarm of a device through a pretest (S202); comparing the time interval weight T with a predetermined standard time interval W of the device, and determining an alarm jitter processing policy to be adopted according to a magnitude relation between the time interval weight T and the standard time interval W, wherein the alarm jitter processing policy comprises performing a jitter preventing process for alarm information reported by a lower layer according to a priority and/or a type of an alarm (S204); and performing the jitter preventing process by using the alarm jitter processing policy (S206). The solution improves stability of a control plane, and increases flexibility and process capability of the system.
