  • Publication number: 20250063439
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support inter-frequency measurement techniques. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating respective measurement configurations for multiple measurement objects. The UE may perform a measurement of a first measurement object from the plurality of measurement objects and transmit a first measurement report for the first measurement object in accordance with a measurement order. In other examples, the UE may perform measurements of each of the multiple measurement objects, including the first measurement object, prior to transmitting the measurement report, where respective measurement reports may be transmitted in accordance with the measurement order. In any case, the measurement order may be determined using a set of parameters corresponding to a current state of the UE, one or more services at the UE, a user preference, or any combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240292336
Abstract: Wireless communication between a mobile device or user equipment (UE) having a plurality of antennas and a base station includes signaling a reduced capability with respect to a number of antennas used for an uplink transmission. To reduce UE power consumption, e.g., when a battery is low and/or when a throughput is low, a UE may signal a lower capability, such as one that uses fewer antennas than the UE has available for an uplink transmission. The UE may then deactivate RF circuitry coupled to one or more antennas to reduce power consumption without significantly reducing performance.

  • Publication number: 20240080735
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). The UE starts a procedure for a mobile terminated (MT) or mobile originated (MO) call in a first radio access technology (RAT) network. The UE receives a first command for the UE to move to a second RAT network to continue the call, and in response establishes a connection with the second RAT network to continue the call. The UE starts a timer based on an end of the call and take one or more actions dependent at least in part on the timer to prioritize return to the first RAT network in a standalone (SA) mode.

  • Publication number: 20240007907
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a New Radio (NR) cell, an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) configuration message. The UE may receive, from the NR cell, an instruction to fallback to a legacy cell. The UE may store a response to the IMS configuration message based at least in part on receiving the instruction to fallback. The UE may transmit, to the legacy cell and before transmitting another IMS message, the response to the IMS configuration message. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20230217412
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may monitor paging search spaces that correspond to beams other than a serving beam if a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the serving beam does not satisfy a SINR threshold. The UE may stop the monitoring if a paging message in the paging search spaces has been successfully decoded. In some aspects, a UE may determine whether a paging search space that corresponds to a serving beam is a last paging search space in a first paging occasion, after the UE decoded a paging downlink control information and failed to decode a paging physical downlink shared channel on the serving beam. The UE may monitor paging search spaces, in a second paging occasion, that correspond to paging search spaces of the first paging occasion. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20230076240
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for supporting registration in a fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) (5GNR) standalone (SA) network by a processor of a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) wireless device configured with a first subscription and a second subscription. Various embodiments may include determining whether the first subscription received a shared mobile country code (MCC) from the second subscription and the shared MCC is different than an MCC of a home public land mobile network (HPLMN) of the first subscription in response to preforming a full band scan of frequencies supporting the first subscription, and stopping the full band scan by the first subscription and scanning a 5GNR band associated with the shared MCC in response to determining that the first subscription received the shared MCC from the second subscription and the shared MCC is different than the MCC of the HPLMN of the first subscription.

  • Patent number: 11324060
Abstract: One or more aspects of uplink transmissions for dual connectivity connection devices are disclosed. In some implementations, a method of wireless communication includes adjusting, by a user equipment (UE) while in a dual connectivity configuration, a threshold. The method also includes routing, by the UE, data to one of multiple radio link control (RLC) layers based on the adjusted threshold. The method further includes transmitting, by the UE, the data.
