Abstract: A method and device for determining a daily peak load regulation capacity of a hydropower station are provided. The method includes: defining a concept of the daily peak load regulation capacity and setting two schemes, namely, finding an amplitude according to time and finding time according to an amplitude; distinguishing constraint conditions for the hydropower station in different periods; according to actual operation of the hydropower station, setting a daily average inflow and a daily initial water level, and determining a typical daily load process of peak load regulation of the hydropower station by analyzing an actual daily load of a power grid in a period; setting a peak load duration or a peak load regulation amplitude during typical load operation of the hydropower station; iteratively calculating a maximum peak load regulation amplitude or a maximum duration under this boundary condition to obtain the daily peak load regulation capacity.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods relating to checking and confirming merchandise purchased at shopping facilities. In one form, the system includes: a shopping cart containing merchandise items to be purchased; a sales transaction database; a point-of-sales system that creates transaction records identified by transaction identifiers; and a mobile device used by an employee that includes a sensor to scan a paper or digital receipt to obtain the transaction identifier and a camera to capture images of the items in the shopping cart. The system also includes a control circuit that receives the transaction identifier, accesses the database using the identifier to determine the purchased items; analyzes the images of the merchandise items in the shopping cart and creates a computer vision receipt listing detected items; compares the purchased items with the detected items; and takes an action if there is a discrepancy.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes a rectifier, a 0-10V dimmer converter, a power circuit and a light source. The rectifier for receives an AC power from an AC input to generate a DC current. The TRIAC wall switch is selectively coupled to the AC input. The TRIAC wall switch is operated by a user with an first manual operation to suppress a portion of the AC power from the AC input corresponding to the first manual operation. The 0-10V dimmer converter is selectively coupled to a 0-10V dimmer. The 0-10V dimmer converts a dimmer voltage of the 0-10V dimmer to a dimmer signal corresponding to a second manual operation of the user. The power circuit is coupled to the 0-10V dimmer converter and the rectifier to convert the DC current to a set of driving current. The light source includes multiple LED modules.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for rendering scene-aware audio based on acoustic properties of a user environment. For example, the disclosed system can use neural networks to analyze an audio recording to predict environment equalizations and reverberation decay times of the user environment without using a captured impulse response of the user environment. Additionally, the disclosed system can use the predicted reverberation decay times with an audio simulation of the user environment to optimize material parameters for the user environment. The disclosed system can then generate an audio sample that includes scene-aware acoustic properties based on the predicted environment equalizations, material parameters, and an environment geometry of the user environment.
