Abstract: The present disclose provides a lithium-ion battery with a gas-releasing and explosion-proof safety valve, which comprises a casing and a battery core. The casing includes an opening that is sealed by a thermal cover, on which a safety valve is disposed. The safety valve comprises a safety cover and a pressure filter. A middle portion of the safety cover includes a through hole. The pressure filter is affixed to the middle portion of the safety cover and has numerous pores. The safety cover and thermal cover are hooked together. The present invention offers multiple advantages. Firstly, simplified structure without aging issue enhances the safety and reliability of the battery. Secondly, during operation, gas is ventilated when an internal pressure of the battery reaches a certain threshold value to avoid rupture of the battery casing. Thirdly, with enhanced performance of the battery, the cycle life of the battery is greatly increased.

Abstract: A packing apparatus includes a case for receiving a plurality of electronic devices and a plurality of mounting members placed in the case. Each mounting member defines a receiving space. A shock-absorbing member is located in the receiving space and divides the receiving space into two mounting spaces. A shock-absorbing block is located in each mounting space. A slot is defined between the shock-absorbing block and the shock-absorbing member. A side of the shock-absorbing block towards the shock-absorbing member defines an oblique plane as a cushioning surface, and the oblique plane abuts the shock-absorbing member when the shock-absorbing member is bent.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a sidewall, a mounting bracket, an expansion card, and a connector. The mounting bracket is mounted to the sidewall. The mounting bracket includes a cover portion, a plurality of retaining members located on the cover portion, and a guiding channel defined between two adjacent retaining members of the plurality of retaining members. The expansion card includes a mounting tab located in the guiding channel. The connector is mounted on one of the plurality of the retaining members and is removable for connecting to the expansion card.

Abstract: An illumination device includes a light sensor, a light-emitting unit, a switch unit and a processing unit. The light sensor is configured for sensing ambient light intensity and providing results based on the sensed light intensity. The switch unit is configured for controlling the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and a power unit. The processing unit includes a control module and a light adjusting module. The controlling module is configured for turning off the switch unit to cut off the electrical connection between the light-emitting unit and the power unit during the sensing of the light intensity. The light adjusting module is configured for adjusting the brightness of the light-emitting unit according to the results provided by the light sensor. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: A method and system for determining the position of a moving wireless communication device, the method comprising: recording moving path of the wireless communication device in cells of a cellular wireless communication network; recording moving path and GPS information of a GPS wireless communication device moving in the cellular wireless communication network in cells of the cellular wireless communication network; determining the GPS wireless communication device whose moving path matches with the moving path of the wireless communication device; and determining the position of the wireless communication device based on the GPS information of the matching GPS wireless communication device.

Abstract: A method and system for remote control of a desktop computer from a hand held mobile device having a display. A desktop screen image is split into regions, showing a part of a region on the screen of the mobile device. A virtual trackball is provided which includes a location button and trackball button. The location button operates as a virtual mouse which can be used to click on hotspots and when the virtual mouse cursor is about to cross the boundary of screen regions the next available screen region will smoothly slide onto the device screen. The trackball button is useable to switch between hotspots which can be identified through local image analysis.

Abstract: The invention provides an information polling method, apparatus and system thereof, wherein a message gateway receives an information polling request from an application in an application client, and according to the received information polling request, the message gateway acquires at least one message requested by the application and calculates a reference polling cycle of the application, and sends the acquired message requested by the application and the reference polling cycle to the application. The application determines a polling cycle of a next poll according to a load condition of the application client and the received reference polling cycle. According to the invention, efficiency and quality of the information polling is improved, while the system is ensured to run normally, reducing the cases of message blocking and system breakdown which may occur in the existing situations.
