Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method and apparatus. The method is applied to a communication process between a first service and a second service, and a protocol stack invoked by the first service performs operations including: obtaining first application information of a service packet transmitted between the first service and the second service, where the first application information includes application layer information; and processing the service packet based on the first application information and a first control policy library, where the first control policy library indicates a manner for processing the service packet. According to solutions in embodiments of this application, application-oriented link-associated management and control can be implemented in a data transmission process. This ensures service access experience.

Abstract: Example communication methods and systems based on a user-mode protocol stack are provided. One example method is applied to a service side, where the service side includes an application layer, the user-mode protocol stack, and a hardware layer. A target application of the application layer corresponds to at least one W thread. The example method includes obtaining, by using a routing module, a first correspondence and a second correspondence, where the first correspondence includes a correspondence between a listen file descriptor (FD) of a first W thread and a plurality of shadow FDs, and the second correspondence includes a correspondence between a target N thread and a connection FD. Communication with a client is performed using the routing module based on the first correspondence and the second correspondence.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus and method for facilitating access to data in a distributed storage system by using a processing unit configured to collect information related to running status of the distributed storage system; obtain metadata related to data stored in the distributed storage system; in response to a request from a client, provide to the client the information related to running status and metadata related to data to be accessed; and extend storage nodes in the distributed storage system so that the client can directly access the storage nodes by using the information related to running status and the metadata related to data to be accessed. Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing network attached storage that includes detecting frequency of access from a client to a data item that is in a first server in the network attached storage, a global namespace of the network attached storage indicating an access address for accessing the data item, the access address including a first address of the data item in the first server; in response to the frequency being higher than a predetermined threshold, copying the data item from the first server to a second server in the network attached storage which is proximate to the client, so as to form a data image; and updating the global namespace so as to add to the access address a second address of the data image in the second server whereby the data access efficiency of the network attached storage can be considerably improved.
