  • Publication number: 20070061592
Abstract: A computer input device with security protection and method thereof is provided, wherein a security protection enable key is set on the input device of the computer, and the security protection program residing in the memory is started by triggering the security protection enable key, and thereby any signal from all the external input devices is intercepted so that the personal computer immediately enters into the state of security protection and promptly releases the blocking for the security protection by inputting the combined signals.

  • Publication number: 20050134566
Abstract: A computer input device includes a control unit, a coordinate detecting module for detecting movement of the input device on a working surface, a roller on the body of the input device for generating a first scrolling signal, and a function key. When a user activates the function key and moves the input device, then the control unit will generate a second scrolling signal to cause both horizontal and vertical scrolling in response to detection of movement by the coordinate detecting device.

  • Publication number: 20050122940
Abstract: A method of communicating in a wireless network with a wireless communicating device of a computer is disclosed. According to the method, a network-setting list is received by the wireless communicating device from the computer, with the network setting list having a list of service set identifiers (SSID). The wireless communicating device then locates a linking request based on an acceptable SSID that is found in the network setting list. Thereafter, the linking request is processed in the ad-hoc mode with a near-end device or in the infrastructure mode with a remote-end device, depending on whether the acceptable SSID is found in the network setting list.

  • Publication number: 20050117555
Abstract: A communicating system for establishing a wireless communication between a computer and a wireless peripheral device includes a wireless peripheral device, a computer, and a wireless network coupling the peripheral device and the computer. The computer has a wireless network card within the computer, the wireless network card having a detection module which sends a data packet with identification via the wireless network to search for the wireless peripheral device. The peripheral device then sends an acceptable feedback signal based on the identification to the detection module so as to establish a wireless communication.

  • Publication number: 20050114558
Abstract: A communication system has a peripheral device having a controller that outputs an operating signal, and a processor that receives the operating signal and formats the operating signal into a data packet that complies with a standard wireless network communication protocol, and then wirelessly transmits the data packet. The system further includes a computer having a network card that receives the data packet, and a program that decodes the data packet into a computer control signal to control the operation of the computer.
