  • Patent number: 7763817
Abstract: A button assembly for pressing a switch in a computer bezel includes a button connected to an arm. A cutout is defined in the computer bezel. The button is inserted in the cutout, and the arm is pivotably mounted on the computer bezel. A pressing portion extends outward from a side of the arm. A slanted pressing plane is formed on the pressing portion. Pressing the button moves the arm so that one end of the slanted pressing plane away from the arm contacts the switch. The switch resists the pressing portion, causing the arm to rotate so that the other end of the slanted pressing plane moves forward, thereby the slanted pressing plane entirely contacts and activates the switch.

  • Publication number: 20090074050
Abstract: Method and apparatus for receiving coded signals with the aid of CSI are provided. The method comprises: performing channel estimation to obtain a CFR estimation vector; computing a squared magnitude of the CFR estimation vector, and obtaining a normalization factor ? by averaging the squared magnitudes of CFR estimations on all N subcarriers; finding a norm-shift operand m satisfying the condition that ?0=2m is a power of 2 number closest to the normalization factor ?; performing a CSI-aided one-tap channel equalization on an output signal vector from a DFT processor by using the norm-shift operand m; performing constellation demapping; and performing channel decoding. The method further comprises obtaining a weighting factor vector by right shifting m bits of the squared magnitude of the CFR estimation vector so that the constellation demapping can use the weighted decision boundary values in case that its input signal is sensitive to both amplitude and phase.

Abstract: A method for identifying real-time traffic hop by hop in an Internet network including a sender, a receiver, and routers in the network is provided. The method comprises steps of registering source port number and/or destination port number of the UDP respectively for RTP, RTCP and RTSP with the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) under the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) arrangement, then in one aspect, adding in the UDP header a Session ID field for identifying the session. The method can be used to identify the frames of the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) hop by hop during the packet's transmission, and to provide priority for real-time traffic transport so as to provide a QoS guarantee for real-time traffic even in the case of dramatically increasing network traffic.

  • Patent number: 7160720
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new polypeptide and the gene encoding therefore, said gene being regulated in cardiac tissue by the transcription factor MEF2C. This polypeptide, CHAMP (cardiac helicase activated by MEF2 protein), bears striking resemblance to a number of other helicase proteins and appears to play a role in RNA processing and transcriptional control in heart muscle. For example, CHAMP has been demonstrated to inhibit both hypertrophy of primary cardiomyocytes and proliferation of non-cardiac cells. Also disclosed are methods of using the gene and protein in drug screening and therapy, including, for example, use of the gene in gene therapy to treat cardiovascular disease.
