    Abstract: A user may check-in to an international flight and receive an electronic boarding pass using captured travel document information. If the travel document information has not been captured, the travel document information may be captured from a travel document by one of visual image capture or wireless communication. Visual image capture includes capturing an image of the travel document, performing optical character recognition (OCR) on the image of the travel document to extract text; and storing the extracted text on a computer-readable medium. Wireless communication includes receiving travel document information from a wireless communication device included in the travel document. The captured travel document information is compared to a list of registered passengers to determine if the passenger associated with the travel document is registered for the international flight. If the passenger is determined to be registered for the first international flight an electronic boarding pass is generated.

Dummy wafers with this special structure are able to avoid deposition rate inconsistency in a polysilicon deposition process and are capable of avoiding conventional dummy wafers' adverse effect on deposit layer thicknesses of process wafers and hence providing the process wafers with deposit layers having a high inter-wafer uniformity.

The disk drive includes a transducer head, a magnetic disk having a plurality of concentric data tracks defined by embedded servo wedges that provide position information, and a control system. In the method, 1FRRO compensation information is learned over a predetermined minimum number of disk revolutions. After the predetermined minimum number of disk revolutions, the 1FRRO compensation information is monitored for convergence while learning of the 1FRRO compensation information continues. Learning is terminated upon detection of convergence of the 1FRRO compensation information.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a position of a global positioning system (GPS) receiver are provided. A first satellite and a second satellite that have an unobstructed communication path to the GPS receiver are identified. For each of the first and second satellites, data received is used to determine a satellite position and a code phase for a transmitted satellite signal. A relative code phase is calculated between the transmitted satellite signals of the first satellite and the second satellite, where the relative code phase is a difference between the determined code phases. The position of the GPS receiver is determined based on the satellite positions of the first and second satellite and the relative code phase.

    Abstract: A method and system for providing conditional access (CA) between a headend and a receiver include scrambling media data of broadcast programs and encrypting control words according to a CA system used on the headend. The receiver includes a CA virtual machine. The receiver receives the broadcast program and encrypted control words, and determines whether the media data is scrambled. If the media data is scrambled, the CA virtual machine runs a CA instance matched with the CA system, gets entitled manage message (EMM), and determines whether CA algorithm identifier in the EMM matches with CA algorithm identifier of the CA instance. If the CA algorithm identifiers match, the encrypted control words are decrypted and the scrambled media data is descrambled. If the CA algorithm identifiers do not match, updated CA algorithm is downloaded and the CA instance which has updated its CA algorithm is run.
