  • Publication number: 20060186829
Abstract: A series resonant circuit device and a voltage stabilizing method thereof are provided. The series resonant circuit device includes a resonant circuit having at least a resonant capacitor and a resonant inductor, an equivalent capacitor electrically coupled to the resonant circuit, a magnetizing inductor electrically connected to the equivalent capacitor in parallel, a transformer having a primary winding electrically connected to the magnetizing inductor in parallel, and a current impulse circuit electrically coupled to the resonant circuit and synchronized with an input voltage of the series resonant circuit device. The voltage stabilizing method is to provide a current impulse to the equivalent capacitor so as to decrease a current difference between the resonant inductor and the magnetizing inductor when the input voltage varies.

  • Publication number: 20050079615
Abstract: Methods are provided for the in vivo introduction of a nucleic acid into the target cell of a vascularized organism, e.g., a mammal. In the subject methods, an aqueous formulation of a non-viral linear DNA vector, e.g., made up of a linear dsDNA molecule or non-annealed plus and minus linear ssDNA moelcules, that includes the nucleic acid is administered into the vascular system of the organism. Also provided are the vectors employed in the subject methods and kits for producing the same, as well as pharmaceutical preparations thereof. The subject methods and compositions find use in a variety of different applications, including both research and therapeutic applications, and are particularly suited for use in the in vivo delivery of nucleic acids encoding protein products, particularly where persistent protein expression is desired without integration of the vector into the host genome.

  • Publication number: 20040214329
Abstract: Circular nucleic acid vectors that provide for persistently high levels of protein expression are provided. The circular vectors of the subject invention are characterized by being devoid of expression-silencing bacterial sequences, where in many embodiments the subject vectors include a unidirectional site-specific recombination product hybrid sequence in addition to an expression cassette. Also provided are methods of using the subject vectors for introduction of a nucleic acid, e.g., an expression cassette, into a target cell, as well as preparations for use in practicing such methods. The subject methods and compositions find use in a variety of different applications, including both research and therapeutic applications. Also provided is a highly efficient and readily scalable method for producing the vectors employed in the subject methods, as well as reagents and kits/systems for practicing the same.
