Abstract: An input device includes a housing having an opening and a scroll wheel structure disposed in the housing. The scroll wheel structure includes a support frame fixed in the housing, a scroll wheel frame, a positioning frame including a first body portion connected to the support frame and a second body portion disposed in the scroll wheel frame, a magnetic member disposed in the scroll wheel frame and including first and second portions, and a magnet. The scroll wheel frame is pivotally connected to the support frame via a pivot disposed at a center of the scroll wheel frame, and a portion of the scroll wheel frame is protruded out of the housing via the opening. The magnet is disposed at the positioning frame or the scroll wheel frame corresponding to the magnetic member and separated from the first and second portions by first and second distances, respectively.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for rapid dialing of a mobile terminal. A database is set in a memory unit of the mobile terminal, including mobile service provider data and at least one corresponding Internet phone prefix code. A mobile service provider is selected from the database to obtain the corresponding Internet phone prefix code. A destination number is entered by an input device to combine with the Internet phone prefix code resulting in a final complete character string, which is then dialed.

Abstract: A method of chatting for handheld devices and a related system. A user sets up caller and receiver information, allowing the handheld device to determine whether or not incoming messages are from the set receivers. The handheld device displays all messages from the set receivers. The system has a message chat settings module, a message transfer module, a message entry module, and a message filtering module. The user enters a message chat program, sets up information for the chat parties, and uses message transfer to perform multi-party chat.

Abstract: A mobile telephone capable of displaying an image of a caller automatically. The mobile telephone includes an input device, a storage media, a caller register, a query device and a display device. While receiving a call, the mobile telephone displays an image of a caller. The invention also provides a method for automatically displaying an image of a caller in a mobile telephone. After receiving an incoming telephone number, the mobile telephone seeks the incoming telephone number in a predetermined look-up table that comprises telephone numbers and images corresponding to the incoming telephone numbers. Lastly, when finding the incoming telephone number in the look-up table, the image corresponding to the incoming telephone number is displayed on the display device of the mobile telephone.
