  • Patent number: 11915079
Abstract: A biometric sensor module for detecting a biometric feature of a user comprises: a biometric sensor comprising an array of sensing elements for acquiring sensing signals indicative of a biometric feature of a user, the array of sensing elements arranged facing towards a front side of the biometric sensor. Further, the biometric sensor module comprises a bottom flexible film attached to a back side, opposite the front side, of the biometric sensor. The bottom flexible film can carry at least one electrically conductive line electrically connectable to the biometric sensor and electrically connectable to an external electrical circuit. The biometric sensor module further comprises a top film attached to the biometric sensor closer to the front side of the biometric sensor than the bottom flexible film. The flexible film includes a bent portion such that the flexible film is bent towards the top film.

  • Patent number: 10772342
Abstract: The present invention is in the field of ice cream shaping, in particular it is relating to a heated tool to imprint a pattern a frozen confectionery product, and especially a heated tool that melts away a channel of an outer coating layer of a frozen confectionery, thereby creating a peelable frozen confectionery product. It is an object of the present invention to provide a shaping tool that is suitable for making cleaner grooves in frozen confectionery products. We have found that a shaping tool that comprises of at least one heated element provides a molten channel in the outer surface of a frozen confection.

  • Patent number: 6975599
Abstract: A method of communication between computing entities in a local area network operating an CSMA protocol in an environment where reflections of omni-directional transmissions from a plurality of objects cause multi-path fading includes data packets being transmitted having a header at a first, lower data rate, followed by transmission of payload data at a second, higher data rate. Where the packets are not confirmed to be received, the packet is retransmitted a predetermined number of times before the transmitting entity reduces the payload data rate of the packet and retransmits the packet. If the retransmitted lower payload data rate packet is not confirmed to be received within the predetermined number of transmissions at the lower rate, the packet is dropped.

  • Publication number: 20040010699
Abstract: A method of providing to an individual (28) selected personal data (136) relating to an entity (26) is described. The method comprises: encrypting a plurality of fields (132) of personal data, each data field being encrypted with a unique cryptographic key; storing each of the encrypted data fields (134) in a data record (130) at a central location such as a data storage service provided by an Internet Service Provider; and supplying a specific cryptographic decryption key associated with a respective one of the unique cryptographic keys which relates to a selected field (132) of the entity's personal data to the individual, such that the individual is only able to decrypt the selected field of the entity's personal data by accessing the stored data record (130).

  • Publication number: 20010014088
Abstract: A wireless local area network comprising a plurality of computing entities communicating over a common communications frequency within a local area network operates a transmission deferral method whereby each computing entity defers its own transmissions if it receives a signal at said communications frequency which is above a threshold value set within said computing entity, and which is decodable. Each computing entity is capable of varying dynamically the value of its threshold level above which receipt of signals results in the computing entity deferring its own transmission. Received signals on the communications frequency which are less than the threshold value do not result in the computing entity deferring its transmissions, but are ignored by the computing entity. The threshold value is varied according to whether traffic from more remote signal sources are sufficiently intense that the local traffic cannot be decoded.
