Abstract: A method and apparatus for updating an SQLite database are provided. According to an example of the method, if a source database includes a second data table having the same table name as a first data table in a target database, a mapping data table may be created in the source database. Further, each field in the first data table which is absent in the second data table may be determined as a new field, and the new field is created in the mapping data table. A name and a default value of the new field may be recorded if the new field is configured with a primary key constraint and the default value. In this way, the data stored in the second data table as well as the recorded name and default value of the new field may be added to the mapping data table with an insert statement.
