    Abstract: A handover of a user equipment (UE) between different radio access networks (RANs). For enhancing voice call continuity (VCC). One method comprises: receiving a request for registering in a first node for mobility management in the target RAN from the UE; if the mobility management for the UE fails to be transferred from a second node for mobility management in the source RAN to the first node, inquiring of a HLR/HSS about a third node for mobility management for the UE in the source RAN, wherein the second node is determined from the request for registering, and the third node is determined based on a correlation between the UE and the third node; and sending to the third node a request for transferring the mobility management for the UE from the third node to the first node.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for paging User equipment (UE) smartly in MME pool, comprising: transmitting a paging request to a first eNodeB the UE last accessed; if the UE is not paged, transmitting the paging request to all eNodeBs belonging to a first Tracking Area (TA) to which the first eNodeB belongs; and if the UE is not paged, determining, in a Tracking Area list assigned to the UE, a first group of Tracking Areas (TAs) adjacent to the first Tracking Area, and transmitting the paging request to all eNodeBs belonging to the first group of Tracking Areas. This disclosure also provides an apparatus for paging User equipment (UE) smartly in MME pool. This may largely decrease the paging load and save the radio resources without perceivable paging quality degradation.

    Abstract: A smart 3GDT schema has been disclosed, in detail, a method for controlling the communication of a network system has bee disclosed. The network system comprises a UE, a NodeB, a RNC, a SGSN, and a GW. The UE is arranged to be in communication with the RNC via the NodeB, and the RNC is arranged to be in communication with the SGSN which in turn being arranged to be in communication with the GW for non-3GDT communication of the network system, or the RNC is arranged to be in communication with the GW for 3GDT communication of the network system. In this method, statistics of payload transferred between the UE and the GW has been monitored, and if the statistics of payload within a predetermined time period exceeds a first threshold, and the UE is in the non-3GDT communication, then switching the non-3GDT communication to the 3GDT communication. The present application has also disclosed the SGSN, GW, and the network system adaptive to perform the method.
