Abstract: A search method and apparatus based on an e-commerce platform. An embodiment of the present invention provides a search method based on an e-commerce platform. The e-commerce platform searches for, according to a search keyword sent by a first client, based on a location of the first client and in an area range of a search radius, commodities meeting a condition, and sends detailed information about the commodities found through searching to the first client. According to the method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, a consumer may shop nearby in an expected area range, thereby improving consumer's shopping experience.
