  • Publication number: 20190019012
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media can identify a user associated with a device based on a subset of media content items on the device based at least in part on analysis of the subset of media content items. A relationship between the user and one or more other users depicted in the media content items can be determined. A recommendation relating to sending at least one media content item on the device to at least of the one or more other users can be generated based on the determined relationship.

  • Publication number: 20170111458
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can receive travel information including at least one of a travel duration, dates of travel, or a particular destination. One or more potential travel destinations are determined based on the travel information. For each of the one or more potential travel destinations, one or more connections who have previously visited or lived in the potential travel destination are determined. For each of the one or more potential travel destinations, the one or more connections who have previously visited or lived in the potential travel destination are ranked.

  • Publication number: 20160277351
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can identify a resource provided via a social networking system. A request for a user account to subscribe to a subject that is presentable via the resource can be received. The subject can be included in a set of subjects available for subscription by the user account. It can be determined that a post associated with the subject has been presented via the resource. A notification indicating that the post associated with the subject has been presented via the resource can be provided to the user account.

  • Publication number: 20150330444
Abstract: A system includes a body having a rotational axis. The system also includes an electromagnetic actuator radially offset from the body and configured to support the body to rotate about the rotational axis. The electromagnetic actuator includes a radial pole assembly magnetically coupled to and cooperating with a radial actuator target to define a radial magnetic control circuit, a first axial pole assembly magnetically coupled to and cooperating with a first axial actuator target to define a first axial magnetic control circuit, and a second axial pole assembly magnetically coupled to and cooperating with a second axial actuator target to define a second axial magnetic control circuit. The structural arrangement of the radial pole assembly and the first and second axial pole assemblies is symmetrical about a radial midplane through the radial pole assembly, wherein the radial midplane is orthogonal with respect to the rotation axis of the body.

  • Patent number: 8633625
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a shaft-less energy storage flywheel system. The shaft-less energy storage flywheel system includes a solid cylindrical flywheel having permanent motor magnets mounted about the flywheel. The shaft-less energy storage flywheel system also includes a motor stator having motor windings carrying electrical currents. The motor windings of the motor stator are aligned with the permanent motor magnets of the flywheel such that rotation of the flywheel is induced through interaction of the motor winding currents and the magnetic field of the permanent motor magnets. The flywheel provides a magnetic flux path for the permanent motor magnets. In certain embodiments, the shaft-less energy storage flywheel system includes a magnetic bearing assembly disposed directly adjacent an axial face of the flywheel. The magnetic bearing assembly controls positioning and alignment of the flywheel without physically contacting the flywheel during normal operation.

  • Publication number: 20130117010
Abstract: Disclosure relates to a statistical machine translation field, and more particularly to a method and a device for filtering a translation rule and generating a target word in a hierarchical phrase-based statistical machine translation. The method and device filters a translation rule using a relaxed-well-formed dependency structure and generates a target word by referring to a head word of a source word in a hierarchical phrase-based statistical machine translation. The disclosure improves a translation performance while reducing a number of translation rules, in comparison with a hierarchical phrase-based original translation rule table.
