Abstract: A film comprises a base layer, a first patterned layer and a second patterned layer. The base layer includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first patterned layer is laminated with the base layer partially over the first surface of the base layer. The first patterned layer is belt-shaped and includes a plurality of spaced first strip patterns, such that a first interval space is defined between adjacent two first strip pattern. The second patterned layer is laminated with the base layer partially over the second surface of the base layer. The second patterned layer being belt-shaped and includes a plurality of spaced second strip patterns corresponding to the first strip patterns. The second strip patterns are partially overlapped with corresponding first strip patterns and the rest of the second strip patterns are partially overlapped with corresponding first interval spaces.

Abstract: A shell for a portable electronic device includes a transparent base shell, a light-transmittable layer, a opaque layer, and a pattern layer. The transparent base shell includes an exterior surface and an interior surface opposite to the exterior surface. The light-transmittable layer is directly formed on the interior surface and only allows a portion of light to pass there through. The opaque layer is directly formed on the light-transmittable layer. The light-transmittable layer is located between the base shell and the intermediate layer. The pattern layer covers over and around the intermediate layer to form a pattern section inside the intermediate layer. The pattern section and the pattern layer are light-transmittable by a predetermined color.

Abstract: A housing includes a base layer, a cover layer and an embedding member, the base layer is formed in a first molding, the cover layer is formed in a second molding, the embedding member is between the base layer and the cover layer, the base layer has locking members formed thereon in the first molding, the embedding member is firmly latched with the locking members in the second molding. A method for fabricating the housing is also described.
