  • Patent number: 9267449
Abstract: An engine control system according to the principles of the present disclosure includes a manifold air pressure (MAP) determination module, a boost control module, and a throttle control module. The MAP determination module determines a desired MAP based on a driver torque request. The boost control module controls a boost device based on the desired MAP and a basic boost pressure. The boost device is actuated using boost pressure and the boost pressure is insufficient to actuate the boost device when the boost pressure is less than the basic boost pressure. The throttle control module controls a throttle valve based on the desired MAP and the basic boost pressure.

  • Patent number: 9233897
Abstract: Disclosed is an HFO-1234ze and HFC-245fa co-production preparation method. The HFO-1234ze and HFC-245fa are prepared through a two-stage gas phase fluorination reaction by using 1,1,1,3,3-pentachloropropane (HCC-240fa) as a raw material. With the processing method of the present invention, HFO-1234ze and HFC-245fa can be prepared at the same time, and the alkene is unlikely to polymerize or carbonize during the reaction, thus being suitable for industrialized promotion.

  • Patent number: 9206180
Abstract: A quantitative model that describes the assembly of diketopyrrolopyrrole-based donors and a perylenediimide acceptor into chiral superstructures, as a result of both hydrogen bonding and ?•••? stacking. This model provides thermodynamic parameters (?H° and ?S°) for all noncovalent interactions involved in the assembly and explains the subtle supramolecular cues that convert disordered aggregates into well-defined helical assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20150311052
Abstract: LC/MS data generated by an LC/MS system is analyzed to determine groupings of ions associated with originating molecules. Ions are grouped initially according to retention time, for example, using retention time or chromatographic peaks in mass chromatograms. After initial groupings are determined based on retention time, ion peak shapes are compared to determine whether ions should be excluded. Ions having peak shapes not matching other ions, or alternatively a reference peak shape, are excluded from the group.

  • Patent number: 9164067
Abstract: In complex separations, more than one entity may have the same molecular weight, to within the ability of an instrument to distinguish. Accurate mass measurements are used in light of the previously unknown regularities in retention time to determine a retention time (N pairs of values (tiB, tiBref)) (506). The retention time map allows a reference retention time to be assigned to each entity in a separation. The reference retention times, together with accurate mass measurements, can then be used to track and to compare entities (704,708) between separations.

  • Publication number: 20150093202
Abstract: A new jacket design method is disclosed, especially for deepwater water heavy jacket applications. The method utilizes a special type of air bags, called Ship Launching Air Bags (SLAB), to provide low cost temporary buoyancy used for jacket installation purpose only. A designer only needs to satisfy the jacket stiffness for the resistance of environmental and gravity loads without the consideration of jacket reserve buoyancy. The required jacket reserve buoyancy could be increased with the utilization of temporally attached SLABs during the jacket installation.
