  • Publication number: 20120123020
Abstract: The present invention deals with a methodology of incorporating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into an epoxy matrix and thereby producing epoxy-based CNT nanocomposites. Both the pristine and ozonized CNTs are almost homogeneously dispersed into the resin by this approach. Compared with the pristine CNTs (p-MWCNTs), the ozonized ones (f-MWCNTs) offer considerable improvements on mechanical properties within the epoxy resin.

  • Publication number: 20120056665
Abstract: An input/output (IO) circuit with high voltage tolerance is provided. In an integrated circuit, the IO circuit includes a charge pump for generating a bias voltage higher than an internal operating voltage of the charge pump itself, and a switch between an external circuit and an internal circuit of the integrated circuit. When the switch conducts between the external circuit and the internal circuit, the switch provides a clamping voltage according to the bias voltage and a cross voltage of the switch, so that a voltage of the internal circuit is bounded by the clamping voltage to prevent the internal circuit from over-voltage.

  • Patent number: 8095449
Abstract: A seller may use an existing product catalog in a seller business information management system to generate an auction and populate auction parameters to expedite and facilitate the auction creation process. The information in the product catalog may be used to provide auction parameters (populate auction fields) in addition to adding a product and/or service to the auction. An auction profile may also be defined for a seller and may contain data or rules for generating an auction that may be used to provide additional default values for the auction. One or more auction profiles may be associated with a seller. The seller selects a product from the catalog and chooses a create auction option resulting in an auction being generated from the product information and the profile, if one exists. The seller may then modify the auction parameters and add or drop products before saving the auction.

  • Publication number: 20110157417
Abstract: An electronic device automatically adjusts luminance of a monitor device, such as an image capture device. The electronic device analyzes captured images and determines brightness thereof. If the luminance of the captured images are too dark, the electronic device widens an aperture of the monitor device or turns up a supplementary lighting device. If the luminance is too high, the electronic device narrows the aperture of the monitor device or decreases output of the supplementary lighting device.

  • Publication number: 20110156917
Abstract: An electronic device with a water level monitoring system monitors a buoy to determine if a water level is acceptable. The device separates level markers of the containment facility and the buoy floating therein. The device traces a trace of the movement of the buoy and compares the trace and security lines to determine if the water level is acceptable or not. If the water level is unacceptable, the device sends an alarm to an alarm mainframe to display a warning on a monitor array.

  • Patent number: 7933742
Abstract: A noise detection signal detected at an evaluation point is filtered by a low pass filter, so that an evaluation waveform signal is extracted. A real signal mother wavelet of complex type is derived from the extracted evaluation waveform signal. Using this mother wavelet, an abnormal waveform signal stored in advance is processed by wavelet transformation. Then, a correlation value is calculated between the abnormal waveform signal and the mother wavelet. The correlation value is compared with a predetermined criterion, so that the presence or absence of abnormality in a sound source or vibration source corresponding to each abnormal waveform signal is determined.
