  • Patent number: 11911062
Abstract: A transducer for an ultrasonic scalpel, which comprises, from distal end to proximal end of a connecting feature, a fixing feature, a horn, a piezoelectric converting body, a rear-end ring, and a connecting member. By following a design principle of constraints in the parameter relationships between the piezoelectric converting body and the horn in the transducer, a transducer having both appropriate gain and stable performance can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20240050275
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a fluid collection box for phacoemulsification surgery, including a case composed of a front plate, a body, and a rear plate. The case communicates with a waste liquid bag. The body has a perfusion passage and a suction passage that are disposed independently. The perfusion passage is a sealed circulation cavity defined by a cover and the body. The circulation cavity communicates with a first connection port and a second connection port on the body for perfusion. There is a gap between the cover and the body. Connection and disconnection of the perfusion passage is controlled by pressing the cover. The suction passage is a pipeline that communicates a third connection port with the waste liquid bag, and performs perfusion by a peristaltic pump. The suction passage further communicates with a negative pressure regulating loop, to regulate pressure within the suction passage.

  • Patent number: 11786267
Abstract: A frequency control method and system for an ultrasonic surgical tool. The frequency control method for an ultrasonic tool comprised: obtaining a maximum value of a phase difference between an operating voltage and an operating current of the ultrasonic surgical tool; determining whether the maximum value is less than zero, so as to obtain a first determination result; if the first determination result indicates that the maximum value is not less than zero, adjusting an operating frequency of the ultrasonic surgical tool to a frequency corresponding to the phase difference to zero; if the first determination result indicates that the maximum value is less than zero, subtracting a preset value from the maximum value to obtain a phase lock point; and adjusting, according to the phase lock point, the operating frequency of the ultrasonic tool.

  • Publication number: 20230190525
Abstract: An ultrasonic phacoemulsification handpiece with a sensor and a surge control system and a method. The central aspiration lumen of the ultrasonic phacoemulsification handpiece consists of two components of plug-in loose fit: a fixed lumen and an extension lumen; a small pressure sensor is mounted on the extension lumen, but still able to keep the easy-to-use size and maintain the ultrasonic performance of the handpiece. The extension lumen minimizes the effect of ultrasonic vibration on the sensor while maintaining sufficient stiffness for installing and removing the phacoemulsification tip. The design of the handpiece transducer reduces the effect of this sensor installation on the ultrasonic performance. For ultrasonic phacoemulsification cataract removal surgery, the short distance from the pressure sensor to the surgical site provides a technical solution for reliably controlling the risk of the post occlusion surge.

  • Patent number: 11571235
Abstract: An ultrasonic surgical blade, wherein the blade has a curved shape, and both sides of the blade are provided with cutting surfaces, one surface is a concave surface and the other surface is a convex surface. The thickness of the blade is gradually thinned along a cutting direction from a proximal end to a distal end. The concave surface length is set as L1, the radius of curvature R1; the length of the convex surface L2, the radius of curvature R2; the angle of the bending of the center line of the blade is ?; the diameter of the proximal end of the blade is D; the thickness of the most distal end surface of the blade is T. The relationship among them is: L1=L2+L2/1.5*(D?T)*SIN(?) (1), R1=R2+2T (2). The range of each size is adjustable within 10%. An ultrasonic wave guide and an ultrasonic scalpel using this blade have fewer potential resonant frequencies, so the thermal damage to the tissue is small, and the performance is more stable.

  • Patent number: 10603211
Abstract: An ultrasonic phacoemulsification needle with improved safety and manufacturability, comprising: a metal connection body and a plastic needle in a splitting structure. The plastic needle is connected at the distal end of the metal connection body, and the metal connection body is connected to the distal end of an ultrasonic hand piece. The ultrasonic phacoemulsification needle employing a design of splitting the connection body and the needle alleviates the difficulties for manufacturing otherwise caused by the conventional phaco tip designs. It reduces the surgical costs from patients. In addition, the ultrasonic phacoemulsification needle using a plastic body reduces the likeliness of punctuating the capsule bag, which otherwise easily occurs in the metal needle case due to the extremely sharp rigid tip at the end of the needle, thus the risks of surgery are reduced and safety is improved.
