    Abstract: A method for finding files in a logical file system (120) such as a flash memory module operatively connected to a virtual file system (115) of an operating system (110), the logical file system (120) including a first link point structure. Sectors of a memory layout of the logical file system (120) are exposed in a first link point structure. (Step 220.) The logical file system (120) is then searched beginning at a sector identified in the first link point structure. (Step 240.) Optionally, the method of the invention may include exposing sectors of a memory layout of the logical file system (120) in a plurality of link point structures.
