Abstract: A charging circuit for a depth camera assembly (DCA) that can be integrated into a wearable device. The charging circuit includes a voltage regulation module (VRM) configured to generate a regulated voltage and a shared storage capacitor coupled to the VRM. The shared storage capacitor is charged using the regulated voltage during a non-exposure window of a DCA that includes an illuminator and a sensor array. The shared storage capacitor provides power to the illuminator and the sensor array during an exposure window of the DCA in which the illuminator emits light into a local area and the sensor array detects the light.

Abstract: The invention is an augmented energy storage system that includes an energy storage subsystem that stores and supplies energy to an electric grid, a load bank that dissipates energy, a power control system that controls the flow of energy into and out of the energy storage subsystem and into the load bank, and an inverter that converts DC current to AC current used by the grid.
