Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically changing alarm notifications by dynamically changing notification indicators based on a type of alert generated or a type of security system that generated the alert. Some methods can include a notification appliance receiving an alarm message, determining a type of alarm associated with the alarm message, and illuminating one of a plurality of labels based on the type of alarm associated with the alarm message.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing a risk of vertigo flicker caused by a notification appliance are provided. Some systems can include the notification appliance measuring an ambient light level, the notification appliance determining whether the ambient light level is lower than a threshold, the notification appliance activating a constant light source responsive to determining that the ambient light level is lower than the threshold, and the notification appliance activating a flashing light source after activating the constant light source.

Aspects of the methods involve the controlled introduction of a plurality of vapor reactants into a deposition chamber to form a material on the substrate having uniform surface roughness, conformality, thickness and composition. Abstract: A plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition system includes a balancing inductor in the circuit path between the radio frequency generator and the “showerhead” that is used to introduce reactant gases to the system. The balancing inductor reduces the resonant frequency of the circuit to a level below the frequency of the signal produced by the radio frequency generator. Since the effective capacitance of the showerhead electrode varies monotonically with the power input to the plasma, fluctuations in the power delivered to the plasma will be self-correcting the system will be stabilized. For example, a drop in the power to the plasma will reduce the resonant frequency, but the corresponding reduction in the effective capacitance of the showerhead electrode will tend to increase the resonant frequency, thereby offsetting the change and stabilizing the system.

Abstract: An alarm system for producing substantially synchronized visual output indicia of the alarm condition includes a common source of pulses which is activated in response to the presence of the alarm condition. The common source of pulses generates a trigger pulse train having a predetermined period. The trigger pulse train is fed, via power supply lines, to a plurality of visual output devices which can be triggered in response to the arrival of each of the pulses in the train thereby producing a synchronized plurality of visual indicia indicative of the alarm condition. The output devices will produce an essentially synchronized plurality of visual indicia in the presence of the alarm condition even in the absence of the trigger pulse train.
