The object highlighting can be associated with a product within the video, defining a highlighted product. The object highlighting can be performed automatically utilizing computer-implemented techniques. A short-form video from a library of short-form videos is accessed. A plurality of objects from a catalog of products featured in the short-form video is recognized. At least one of the plurality of objects displayed by a host is identified. A first object from the plurality of objects is selected. The first object is highlighted, which causes it to be surrounded by a boundary overlay in the short-form video. A representation of the first object is dynamically inserted into an on-screen product card. An ecommerce purchase of the first object is enabled within the short-form video.

Highlight segments within short-form videos are identified, and a new video is created, based on one or more identified highlight segments. The new video may also be a short-form video. The highlight segments may be from the original short-form video, or may come from a variety of other sources. The new video is used to enhance entertainment value. The new video is tokenized. The tokenization can be used to support ownership identification. The tokenization can be used to create a non-fungible token.

Contents of the virtual purchase cart are visible while the video is being viewed. A representation of the virtual purchase cart is displayed, wherein the representation is visible while viewing the short-form video. The virtual purchase cart is checked out. Contents of the virtual purchase cart are purchased. Purchase of the product is finalized upon conclusion of the short-form video. Finalizing purchase is accomplished using a batch order process. Batch order processing occurs upon conclusion of the short-form video.
