    Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus and method, and a web browser using the apparatus are disclosed. The wireless communication apparatus is configured to communicate with a wireless base station. The wireless communication apparatus includes a communication unit, a switch unit, and an adjustment unit. The switching unit repeatedly switches the wireless communication apparatus from a sleeping mode to a listening mode after a listening interval, and the communication unit is able to communicate with the wireless base station during the listening mode. When the wireless communication apparatus performs a data access process with the wireless base station, the adjusting unit adjusts the listening interval to a first interval. After the wireless communication apparatus completes the data access process with the wireless base station, the adjusting unit adjusts the listening interval to a second interval, wherein the second interval is smaller than the first interval.

    Abstract: A method of channel estimation is for a receiver to receive signals so as to estimate channel impulse response. The signal consists of a first data burst and a second data burst at least where a first training sequence and a second training sequence are interposed between the first data burst and the second data burst respectively. The channel estimation method comprises the following steps. First, estimating the channel impulse response of the first training sequence and the second training sequence respectively where each of the corresponding first channel impulse response and the corresponding second channel impulse response have n impulses so as to gather a first channel impulse response (An) and a second channel impulse response (Bn). Next, estimating channel impulse response (Cn) of a designated position of the data burst located between the first training sequence and the second training sequence.

    Abstract: A method for channel estimation is provided. Firstly is to estimate channel impulse response (CIR) of training sequence. Next is to generate a soft data by means of an equalizer according to the CIR of the training sequence. Subsequently is to estimate CIRs of data sequences according to the interposed training sequence by correlation channel estimation. Next is to define a weight by means of auto-correlation of the estimated data sequence and then to cancel the interference of channel by the weight. Finally is to use the soft data and the non-interference CIR to find out the data stored in the data sequence.
