  • Patent number: 11936403
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for decoding data read from non-volatile storage devices. A method that may include decoding a first codeword read from a storage location of a non-volatile storage device using a first decoder without soft information, determining that the first decoder has failed to decode the first codeword, decoding the first codeword using a second decoder without soft information, determining that the second decoder has succeeded in decoding the first codeword, generating soft information associated with the storage location using decoding information generated by the second decoder and decoding a subsequent codeword from the storage location using the soft information associated with the storage location. The second decoder may be more powerful than the first decoder.

  • Patent number: 11762028
Abstract: A current measuring circuit measures a charging current of a battery comprising a plurality of cell groups while the battery is being charged using one of a plurality of charging systems. A voltage measuring circuit measures voltages of the cell groups. A controller defines a plurality operating regions in a charging current profile of the battery during a charging cycle, filters the charging current and the voltages measured in the operating regions, calculates internal resistances of the cell groups in the operating regions based on the filtered current and voltages, generates at least one of statistical values and distance metrics based on the internal resistances of the cell groups, and determines whether one or more of the cell groups is faulty based on the at least one of the statistical values and the distance metrics irrespective of the plurality of charging systems used to charge the battery.

  • Patent number: 11084541
Abstract: An inflatable structure includes a top end cap, a bottom end cap, a bladder, a plurality of tethers, and an adjustment mechanism. The bladder is attached to the top and bottom end caps and configured to hold pressurized air therebetween. The plurality of tethers are disposed within the bladder. Each tether in the plurality of tethers has a first end coupled to the top end cap and a second end coupled to the bottom end cap. When the bladder is inflated, the plurality of tethers restrict a number of degrees of freedom of the inflatable structure and a type of the degrees of freedom. The adjustment mechanism is operable to move the second end of at least one tether in the plurality of tethers to adjust at least one of the number of the degrees of freedom and the type of the degrees of freedom.
