Abstract: A transverse-positioning hinge has a seat, at least one elastic ball, a shaft and a fastening washer. The elastic ball is mounted in the seat. The shaft is mounted through the seat and has at least one positioning detent selectively engaging the elastic ball. The fastening washer is attached to the end of the shaft. Adjusting the tightness for attaching the fastening washer changes the deformation of the elastic ball, and then the resilient force provided by the elastic ball is also adjusted. Therefore, the positioning force provided by the elastic ball is adjustable without changing the elastic ball.

Abstract: A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device and has two tilting assemblies and a pivoting shaft connected to the cover, a connecting panel attached to the base, a limiting washer and an actuating washer. The actuating washer is rotated with the pivoting shaft and has at least one arc notch. The limiting washer is mounted around the actuating washer and has at least one boss inside and a limit outside. The connecting panel has a stop selectively abutting the limit. Each boss slides in the corresponding arc notch to compensate for lost rotation due embodying the stop and the limit. Therefore, the cover is rotatable by 180 degrees either clockwise or anticlockwise.

Abstract: A multi-channel hinge has a stationary sleeve, multiple resilient spacers and a shaft. The stationary sleeve has an axial gudgeon and multiple channels. Each resilient spacer has a tubular part mounted in the gudgeon, a tab mounted in a corresponding channel and a neck formed between the tubular part and the tab. The shaft is mounted through the tubular parts. Since the necks of the resilient spacers are offset from each other, the spring back forces are separated. Therefore, the spring back angle of the multi-channel hinge is smaller and the multi-channel hinge provides stabler torque.
