The parking management method for a public vehicle includes: receiving wireless positioning data sent by a parked vehicle via a parking apparatus provided on the site of a parking area; obtaining the location of the vehicle relative to the parking apparatus according to the wireless positioning data; determining whether the vehicle is parked within the parking area according to the location of the vehicle relative to the parking apparatus; and providing a user with the determination result as a prompt message, the user including a user of the vehicle and/or a parking administrator. The present invention provides a new parking management solution for a public vehicle.
