    Abstract: The invention discloses a system for reducing ambient noise generated from an acoustic domain, comprising a landing pad comprising a plurality of zones of varied porosity levels over specified sections, and a plurality of perforated channels across the plurality of zones of varied porosity levels, the perforated channels comprising a plurality of aqueous sheets placed at an inlet of the perforated channels and along the perforated channels. Also disclosed is a method of reducing ambient acoustic noise produced by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations, the method comprising the steps of absorbing acoustic energy produced by the UAV via a plurality of zones of varied porosity levels, present in a UAV landing pad, resulting in reducing sound-pressure transmission-loss of propeller downwash across the plurality of zones of varied porosity.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a multi-layer insulation material, comprising a sheet or a blanket including a plurality of alternating layers of insulating materials, coated with foil, wherein the multi-layer insulation material is embedded with meta-materials and wherein outer layers of the multi-insulation material comprise of polyimide. A method of manufacturing a meta-material embedded fabric is also disclosed, the method including embedding borophene and hybrids of borophene with a two dimensional (2D) material; integrating borophene or plumbene hybrid flakes under an inert ambience with the 2D material; synthesizing the embedded borophene and hybrids of borophene using a sono-chemical technique; and reducing the synthesized borophene and hybrids of borophene using a blended reaction protocol, thereby forming the meta-material embedded fabric.

    Abstract: Biodegradable drinking straws from date palm leaves as a substitute for plastic straws. The straws are made by washing the palm tree leaves with a solution of ascorbic acid, 99% ethanol and water, cleaning the palm tree leaves with abrasive sheets, soaking the palm tree leaves, drying the palm tree leaves, heating the palm tree leaves to a temperature selected from a range of 60° C. to 140° C., rolling the palm tree leaves, binding the rolled palm tree leaves using biodegradable food grade adhesive, drying the rolled palm tree leaves.

    Abstract: The twist morphing blade for wind turbine is a blade adapted for attachment to the hub of a wind turbine. The blade has a central shaft extending between the root and tip ends of the blade. A guide track is defined in the central shaft. A sliding mass is slidably disposed in the guide track and bears against a bias spring. A driven shaft is coaxially disposed around the sliding mass and bias spring and rotatably coupled to the sliding mass. Connecting rods extend between the driven shaft and root end of the blade and through active and passive ribs alternately spaced between the driven shaft and the root end of the blade. When incident wind rotates the rotor, centrifugal force linearly slides the mass, which rotates the driven shaft and the connecting rods to deflect the ribs, twist morphing the medial sections of the blade.
