    Abstract: An access point (AP) configured for multi-AP coordinated beamforming (CBF) and multi-AP joint transmission (JT) in an Extremely High Throughput (EHT) wireless local area network (WLAN), when operating as a master AP (AP1) in a multi-AP network, is configured to encode a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame for multi-AP channel sounding. The NDPA is configured for transmission to a second AP (AP2) and a plurality of stations (STAs) of an EHT group. The NDPA may be encoded to have an information field indicating whether a sounding sequence type is for JT channel sounding or CBF channel sounding. The NDPA may further be encoded to include fields identifying the APs participating in the channel sounding. In these embodiments, the channel sounding sequence for JT can be reused for the channel sounding on CBF.

The master AP may allocate one or more spatial streams to each of the APs of the set of APs for a joint transmission of a null data packet (NDP) to the STA for channel sounding. The master AP may transmit an NDP announcement (NDPA) that indicates that the APs of the set of APs are to perform the joint transmission of the NDP.

A device may cause to send a first sounding frame to a first station device, wherein the first sounding frame is used for a calibration of a plurality of (TX) antennas and a plurality of (RX) antennas. The device may identify one or more quantization indices received from the first station device. The device may reconstruct the feedback vector using the one or more quantization indices. The device may identify a second sounding frame from the first station device. The device may determine second channel estimates based on the RX antenna at the first station device and the plurality of TX antennas at the device. The device may compare the reconstructed feedback vector with the second channel estimates. The device may determine a compensation scalar based on the comparison.
