    Abstract: A method for chemical upcycling of the resins containing ester bonds is described herein. The method comprises two steps: (1) The resins dissolved into a catalyst-solvent system via a network fragmentation strategy to generate non-crosslinked polymer fragment mixture with functional groups. (2) After introducing additives and reacting for predetermined time, a reconfigurable strong resin and a photocurable resin with repeated recyclability are obtained. The low energy consumption and cost, the high performance and economical value added of the regenerated productions, and the ease implement without changing the commodity products and manufacturing facilities make it attractive and suitable for the recycling of the resin wastes.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a method for recycling and reusing polyurethane foam. The method includes: (1) The functionalized oligomers are obtained by adding solvent and catalyst to the polyurethane foam. (2) The functionalized oligomers are chemically modified, and the photosensitive group is introduced through the functional group reaction. The diluent, photoinitiator, and light absorber, etc. are introduced into the obtained oligomers to prepare photocurable resin. It can be used for photocurable coatings or 3D printing. This method has a fast reaction time, easy recovery of solvent and catalyst, higher value-added recycled product, good economic benefits, and social value.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for preparing stable 3D polymer objects with surface micro-nanostructures. The method includes the following steps: Step (1): Synthesizing a thermoset 2D polymer object with surface microstructures. The polymer network contains reversible exchangeable bonds. Step (2): deforming synthesized polymer to an arbitrary desired shape above the reshaping temperature with an external force applied. The permanent reshaping temperature falls in the range of 50-130° C. and external stress is held for 5 min-24 hours Step (3): after cooling, a permanent 3D polymer object with surface microstructure is obtained. Step (2-3) can be repeated for many cycles and the 2D polymer object can be arbitrarily and cumulatively deformed to get a complex 3D structures. The polymer networks contain reversible exchangeable bonds and bond exchange catalysts in the present invention.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a system of thermoset shape memory poly(urea-urethane) with permanent reshaping property and its application. The breakthrough of the present invention is that the reshaping temperature can be tuned in a wide range by incorporation of urea bonds into the polymer network. The permanent shape for shape memory poly(urea-urethane) can be repeatedly and cumulatively reshaped at certain temperature, largely facilitating the fabrication of complex structures.
