  • Publication number: 20230330345
Abstract: An electronic system for a drug delivery device is disclosed. The electronic system comprises a dose setting and drive mechanism. The dose setting and drive mechanism comprises a first member and a button module. The dose setting and drive mechanism is configured such that, at least in the dose delivery operation and/or in the dose setting operation, the first member moves relative to the button module. The electronic system has at least a first low power consumption state and a second high power consumption state. A rotation and/or axial movement of the button module relative to the first member generates a movement component of the at least one switch member relative to the button module and the first member, which triggers switching between the first low power consumption state and the second high power consumption state.

  • Publication number: 20230128892
Abstract: An electronic system for a drug delivery device is provided. The electronic system comprises a dose setting and drive mechanism comprising a first member and a second member, wherein in the dose delivery operation and/or in the dose setting operation, the first member moves, e.g. rotates, relative to the second member; an electronic control unit; an electrical use detection unit operatively connected to the electronic control unit, and configured to generate a use signal in response to the relative movement, e.g. a relative rotational movement, between the first member and the second member, preferably during the dose delivery operation. The electronic system is configured such that it is switched from a first state into a second state by the electronic control unit in response to the use signal, wherein the electronic system has an increased electrical power consumption in the second state as compared to the first state.

  • Publication number: 20230118732
Abstract: An electronic system for a drug delivery device including a dose setting and drive mechanism, a communication unit, an electronic control unit, and an electrical use detection. The dose setting and drive mechanism includes a first member and a second member that move relative to each other at least in the dose delivery operation and/or in the dose setting operation of the drug delivery device. The electronic system has a first state in which the communication unit is not activated and a second state in which the communication unit is activated. The electrical use detection unit is configured to generate a first signal indicative that the user has commenced or finished the relative movement between the first member and the second member. The electronic control unit is configured to switch the electronic system from the first state into the second state in response to the first signal.

  • Publication number: 20230027933
Abstract: An arrangement for a drug delivery device is provided, the arrangement comprising: a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, a dose setting member which is rotatable relative to the housing for a dose setting operation in order to set a dose of drug to be delivered, a tracking member, and a guide track. Wherein the tracking member is operatively coupled or coupleable to the dose setting member, or wherein b) the dose setting member is a tracking member. The guide track is configured to form a guiding interface to guide and/or drive movement of the tracking member. The tracking member can be displaced towards an axial tracking member end position during the dose setting operation, wherein the distance by which the tracking member is displaced towards the axial tracking member end position depends on the size of the set dose.

  • Patent number: 10682466
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an injection device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament, the device comprising: an elongated main housing to accommodate a cartridge filled with the medicament and defining an axial direction, a piston rod arranged inside the main housing and extending in axial direction along a first axis to operably engage with a piston of the cartridge, a reset member axially displaceable inside the main housing between a proximal operating position and a distal reset position along a second axis radially offset from the first axis to switch the device between a reset mode and an operating mode, a cartridge holder releasably attachable to a distal end of the main housing on the first axis to accommodate a distal end of the cartridge, wherein the cartridge holder comprises a sidewall portion with a radially outwardly protruding lock member to axially engage with the reset member located radially adjacent the cartridge holder.

  • Patent number: 10350360
Abstract: A drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The device comprises a housing, a dose setting element rotatable relative to the housing during dose setting and dose dispensing, a drive member coupled to the dose setting member via a clutch, and a piston rod coupled to the housing and to the drive member. Further, the device further comprises a cartridge holder removably attached to the housing and a reset element, which is axially constrained to the dose setting element, and at least one spring acting on the reset element, such that, if the cartridge holder is detached from the housing, the reset element is axially moved relative to the housing onto a position in which the dose setting element is rotationally constrained to the housing and the drive member is allowed to rotate relative to the housing.
