  • Publication number: 20250118038
Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer system changes a visual prominence of a respective virtual object in response to detecting a threshold amount of overlap between a first virtual object and a second virtual object. In some embodiments, a computer system changes a visual prominence of a respective virtual object based on a change in spatial location of a first virtual object with respect to a second virtual object. In some embodiments, a computer system applies visual effects to representations of physical objects, virtual environments, and/or physical environments. In some embodiments, a computer system changes a visual prominence of a virtual object relative to a three-dimensional environment based on display of overlapping objects of different types in the three-dimensional environment. In some embodiments, a computer system changes a level of opacity of a first virtual object overlapping a second virtual object in response to movement of the first virtual object.

  • Publication number: 20250044911
Abstract: A computer system displays a first user interface object in a first view of a three-dimensional environment at a first position in the three-dimensional environment and with a first spatial arrangement relative to a respective portion of the user. The computer system detects movement of a viewpoint of the user from a first location to a second location in a physical environment. In accordance with a determination that the movement does not satisfy a threshold amount of movement, the computer system maintains display of the first user interface object at the first position. In accordance with a determination that the movement satisfies the threshold amount of movement, the computer system ceases to display the first user interface object at the first position and displays the first user interface object at a second position having the first spatial arrangement relative to the respective portion of the user.

  • Patent number: 12182391
Abstract: A computer system detects a gaze input directed to a region in an environment and, while detecting the gaze input, detects a touch input. In response, the computer system displays a focus indicator at a location corresponding to the region. The computer system detects a continuation of the touch input that includes movement of the touch input along an input surface while being maintained on the input surface. In response, the computer system moves the focus indicator in accordance with the movement of the touch input: within a user interface of an application, if the movement corresponds to a request to move the focus indicator within the user interface; and within the user interface without moving the focus indicator outside of the boundary of the user interface, if the movement corresponds to a request to move the focus indicator outside of a boundary of the user interface.

  • Publication number: 20240428539
Abstract: While a first view of a three-dimensional environment is visible, a computer system detects a first input meeting selection criteria. If, when the first input was detected, a user was directing attention to a first portion of the first view that has a spatial relationship to a viewport through which the three-dimensional environment is visible, the computer system displays a user interface object including affordances for accessing functions of the computer system; otherwise, the computer system forgoes displaying the user interface object. While a different view of the three-dimensional environment is visible, the computer system detects a second input meeting the selection criteria. If, when the second input was detected, the user was directing attention to a second portion of the different view that has the same spatial relationship to the viewport, the computer system displays the user interface object; otherwise, the computer system forgoes displaying the user interface object.

  • Patent number: 12124674
Abstract: A computer system detects whether the user satisfies attention criteria with respect to a first user interface object displayed in a first view of a three-dimensional environment. In response to detecting that the user does not satisfy the attention criteria with respect to the first user interface object, the computer system displays the first user interface object with a modified appearance. The computer system detects a first movement of a viewpoint of the user relative to a physical environment and detects that the user satisfies the attention criteria with respect to the first user interface object. In response, the computer system displays the first user interface object in a second view of the three-dimensional environment, including displaying the first user interface object with an appearance that emphasizes the first user interface object more than when the first user interface object was displayed with the modified appearance.

  • Publication number: 20240272782
Abstract: A gaze virtual object is displayed that is selectable based on attention directed to the gaze virtual object to perform an operation associated with a selectable virtual object. An indication of attention of a user is displayed. An enlarged view of a region of a user interface is displayed. A value of a slider element is adjusted based on attention of a user. A user interface element is moved at a respective rate based on attention of a user. Text is entered into a text entry field in response to speech inputs. A value for a value selection user interface object is updated based on attention of a user. Movement of a virtual object is facilitated based on direct touch interactions. • Publication number: 20240233288
Abstract: A computer system displays an immersion control, a volume control, an element configured to permit or restrict breakthrough in different modes of operation of the computer system, and/or an option selectable to cause initiation of display of a representation of content from a second computer system via a display generation component of the computer system. While a second computer system is displaying content, a first computer system detects an input corresponding to a request to display a representation of the content from the second computer system via a display generation component of the first computer system, and in response, initiates a process to display the representation of content and to de-emphasize the content displayed by the second computer system. A first computer system facilitates disambiguation of a second computer system from a plurality of computer systems for display of a representation of content from the second computer system.

  • Publication number: 20240184356
Abstract: A computer system displays a view of a communication session between a first and second user of a first and second display generation component, respectively. The view of the communication session includes a view of a three-dimensional environment, virtual content shared between the first and second user, and a representation of the second user based on a virtual spatial relationship between the first and second user in the three-dimensional environment. While displaying the view of the communication session, the computer system displays a user interface, including a control object, and detects a user input activating the control object. In response, the computer system modifies the appearance of a three-dimensional region of the three-dimensional environment for the first user of the first display generation component, and initiates a process for modifying the appearance of the three-dimensional region of the three-dimensional environment displayed at the second display generation component.

  • Publication number: 20240152244
Abstract: While displaying an application user interface, a device detects a first input to an input device of the one or more input devices, the input device provided on a housing of the device that includes the one or more display generation components. In response to detecting the first input, the device replaces display of at least a portion of the application user interface by displaying a home menu user interface via the one or more display generation components. While displaying the home menu user interface, the device detects a second input to the input device provided on the housing of the device; and in response to detecting the second input to the input device provided on the housing of the device: the device dismisses the home menu user interface.
