Abstract: A cap for a thermometer having a probe configured to be placed in contact with a patients body or to be inserted into a body cavity of the patient and a temperature sensor includes a cap housing, a proximity sensor and a proximity sensor electrical conductor. The cap housing is configured to selectively connect with and to be selectively detached from the thermometer and at least partially surround the probe of the thermometer when connected with the thermometer. The proximity sensor is connected with the cap. The proximity sensor electrical conductor is connected with the cap and electrically connected with the proximity sensor. A thermometer including the cap is also provided.

Abstract: A thermometer includes a temperature sensor, a computation circuit, and a wireless communications circuit. The computation circuit includes a memory and a processor, with the memory storing program code to perform the various functions of the thermometer, including computing a temperature of the patient based upon the one or more readings, and to store this temperature in the memory. The processor may also store the time at which the readings were obtained and associate it with the stored temperature. The wireless communications circuit and the computation circuit are used to establish a wireless communications link with an external device to provide temperature values stored in the memory to the external device. The associated time of the stored temperature may also be communicated to the external device. The external device can be used to view the temperature readings and to configure the thermometer.

Abstract: A brush for suede shoes, or any other object made of napped material, hasving a one-piece molded plastic handle having a hollow interior with a planar outwardly-facing bristle-mounting surface, a collar extending annularly about the bristle-mounting surface and a gripping portion extending centrally from the collar transversely oppositely of the bristle-mounting surface. Bristles are embedded in and extend outwardly from the bristle-mounting surface. A hollow removable erasing rubber sleeve is configured for essentially complemental fitting over the gripping portion. Paired apertures and protrusions fit together to retain the hollow removable erasing rubber sleeve in complemental contact overlying the gripping portion of the handle of the brush.

Abstract: A decorative container is adapted for receiving and storing a plumbing plunger in a generally upright position. The decorative container includes a base which has a bottom wall and a sidewall. The sidewall extends upwardly from the bottom wall by a predetermined distance and extends around a perimeter of the bottom wall. The sidewall has a supporting lip which extends around a perimeter of the sidewall. A first part of the sidewall of the base proximate to the supporting lip has a first slot extending through the sidewall. The supporting lip extends over the first slot and at least partially conceals the first slot from being externally viewed. The container also includes a cover which has a lower end and a sidewall and which is releasably positioned on the supporting lip. The lower end of the cover member surrounds the sidewall of the base. A plumbing plunger is removably stored within the decorative container.
