  • Patent number: 9127387
Abstract: Improved needle bar driving system for sewing machines, that comprises an armshaft rotating with a predetermined speed; a needle bar driving assembly driven by the armshaft and has a needle bar that performs a reciprocating guided linear movement along a substantially vertical axis; a counterweight driving assembly is driven by the armshaft; and a counterweight piston driven by the counterweight driving assembly, and the counterweight piston also performs a reciprocating linear guided movement along an axis parallel to the axis, wherein the movements of the counterweight driving assembly and of the counterweight piston are always opposite to the movement of the needle bar driving assembly and of the needle bar, wherein the combined torque of the counterweight piston and the counterweight driving assembly acting on the armshaft is substantially equal to the combined torque of the needle bar and needle bar driving assembly acting also on the armshaft, but the two torques have opposite direction, whereby the arm

  • Patent number: 8695517
Abstract: An improved quilting machine, with a housing made by a C-shaped frame that has upper and lower arms, wherein the needle structure at the front end of the upper arm have conventional design (as used in commercial sewing machines) and the bobbin is placed to an elevated height by providing an upwardly extended end portion of the lower arm, wherein an offset shaft transmission means is be provided in the upwardly extended portion that acts as a power transmission towards the bobbin driving axle from the lower driving axle extending in the lower arm, wherein the upper and lower driving axles comprise of hollow drive shafts connected via flexible coupling means to half-shafts mounted on plates that are integral parts of the C-frame by dual ball bearing mounts.

  • Patent number: 7207281
Abstract: An improved computerized hand-guided quilting device has a quilting table (100) with a translation device (20). The translation device has a cross carriage (30) movable longitudinally atop the table or frame, and a sewing carriage (50) movable transversely atop the cross carriage. These translations allow X-Y movement of a sewing head (56) fixedly positioned on the sewing carriage. Automatic translation of the cross carriage is accomplished when an actuator (174) mounted on the cross carriage is placed into an operative contact that effects the translation, and manual translation is effected by disengaging the operative contact, using a selective engaging/disengaging means (176). Similarly, automatic translation of the sewing carriage is accomplished when an actuator (74) mounted on the sewing carriage is placed into an operative contact that effects the translation, but manual translation is effected by disengaging the operative contact, using a selective engaging/disengaging means (76).

  • Patent number: 4811374
Abstract: An apparatus for setting the exposure parameters of an X-ray generator that comprises an X-ray transformer for supplying high voltage and filament current to an X-ray tube, in which data relating to the functional relationships between the unloaded voltage of the X-ray transformer, the loaded voltage thereof, the anode current of the X-ray tube and the filament current are stored in the memory of a processor, and based on a measured unloaded voltage and a preset mAs exposure value the processor calculates and displays the loaded high voltage, sets a suitable discrete filament current and determines the exposure time corresponding to the predetermined mAs value in such a way that the X-ray tube cannot be overloaded. If the predetermined exposure data cannot be set due to overload, the processor indicates this fact, whereby the operator can either adjust the voltage or change the exposure parameters.

  • Patent number: 4625732
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for measuring the actual psychophysiological condition of a subject. The apparatus may be hand held and includes finger engaging sensor means, a keyboard and a display means. Various block elements are included for measuring skin conductance, actual mental condition and actual physical condition. An arithmetical and logical unit is associated with the conditioning blocks for determining respective weighted sums of measured results provided by the blocks.

  • Patent number: 4197854
Abstract: Process and apparatus for patient danger recognition and forecasting, particularly for the intensive medical care of the patient. The invention uses various variables to set up a danger function that represents the probability of occurrence of a danger condition, forms average values of the danger function throughout subsequent time periods that are shorter than the time required for a medical intervention, by comparing the formed average values with levels of increasing sequences of threshold values, providing an indication associated with the highest exceeded threshold value, using the average values to set up a regression function which approximates the sequence thereof, determining a subsequent extrapolated value of the function for the next time period that represents a forecast average value of the danger function, and indicating the extrapolated value provided it is higher than a predetermined level.
