  • Patent number: 10798045
Abstract: A computing system can receive a pick-up request including a carpool service preference from a requesting user. The system can access user data of the requesting user and a plurality of potential carpool riders, and determine one or more common links between the requesting user and each of one or more carpool riders of the plurality of potential carpool riders. The system may then select the one or more carpool riders to ride with the requesting user in the carpool vehicle, and transmit a notification to the requesting user to indicate the one or more common links between the requesting user and each of the one or more carpool riders.

  • Patent number: 10291574
Abstract: A transport arrangement and networking system can receive pick-up requests from user devices of requesting users. The pick-up requests can include a carpool service preference. The system can transmit an invitation to a driver device of a proximate carpool driver to service each received pick-up request and identify carpool riders riding with each requesting user. The system can further access social media data for the requesting user and the carpool riders. When the accessed social media data indicates a common link between the requesting user and the carpool rider(s) the system can generate and transmit a notification to the requesting user indicating the common link.

  • Publication number: 20170034085
Abstract: A computing device can execute a messaging application corresponding to a messaging service and display a user interface comprising a messaging thread between a user of the mobile computing device and at least a second user, the messaging thread including textual content corresponding to a location. The computing device can then receive a user selection of the textual content, and generate a selectable transport request feature on the display to overlay at least a portion of the messaging thread. In various implementations, the selectable transport request feature can enable the user to request transport from a transportation arrangement service.

  • Patent number: 5858089
Abstract: Corn Buttering Tool is an invention created with the intent of simplifying and efficiently buttering an ear of corn, alleviating slippage and mess. The components consist of a stainless mesh screen which secures and cradles the corn; one butter bin, accommodating up to 1 lb. of butter; and one plastic cover which keeps the butter fresh. The butter is placed into the bin, the mesh is set upon the butter and the heated corn rests on the mesh. Rotating the corn on the mesh attains the desired amount of butter. Combining rotating and sideways motion will allow more butter to be applied to the corn. The design's primary function is to butter corn however it may be used as a butter storage unit. The bin's arched shaped base allows for maximum butter usage. The side lip of same prevents excess melted butter from spilling over.
