    Abstract: A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The display panel includes a substrate, a gate layer including a plurality of gate units disposed over the substrate, a first insulating layer disposed on the gate layer, and a metal shielding layer disposed on the first insulating layer. The metal shielding layer includes metal shielding units corresponding to the gate units. By setting the metal shielding layer, an electric shielding principle is used to reduce an influence of an alternating current signal between the gate units and improve display performance.
