An inner can has a first space and includes a first inner seal circumscribing an outer surface of the inner can, an inner opening and an inner valve configured to close and expose the inner opening. A trash bag is positioned within the first space and coupled to the inner can to form a substantially air-tight seal between the trash bag and the inner can. An outer can having a second space includes an outer opening and an outer valve configured to close and expose the outer opening. The inner can is positioned within the second space. The first inner seal is configured to form a substantially air-tight seal between the first inner seal and the outer can. The inner valve is closed when the outer valve is opened, and the inner valve is opened when the outer valve is closed.
