  • Publication number: 20090068897
Abstract: A slot connector includes: a lengthwise insulating body, an upper row of conductive terminals and a lower row of conductive terminals. The insulating body is provided with a lengthwise slot for receiving an electric card. The upper and lower sides of the slot are provided with a receiving groove for receiving the conductive terminals respectively. At least one receiving groove for receiving the conductive terminals is provided with a second abutting block. The lower row of conductive terminals extends to form a second abutting portion from its contacting portion along the inside of the slot. When the contacting portion of the lower row of conductive terminals is compressed, the second abutting portion abuts the second abutting block on the insulating body and slides with respect to the second abutting block so that the second abutting portion can provide a supporting force to the contacting portion.

  • Patent number: 7448879
Abstract: An electrical connector that connects a chip module to a printed circuit board is proposed. The electrical connector comprises an insulator and a strengthening member disposed outside of the insulator. The strengthening member contains a sidewall for positioning the insulator and a location member bending and extending out of the sidewall. A plurality of positioning holes matching with a plurality of locking members are disposed on the location member to attach the strengthening member on the printed circuit board. The electrical connector electrically connects between the chip module and the printed circuit board without a bottom base or the lever of a LGA socket by forming a connection between the chip module, the insulator, and the printed circuit board through only the strengthening member. Due to its less complicated structure the present invention lowers production costs and increases the market competitiveness of products that utilize the device.

  • Publication number: 20080145186
Abstract: A fastening device is used for fastening a fastened object on a circuit board. The fastening device includes a fastening part for fastening the fastened object. The fastening part includes a main body portion. The main body portion extends to form a wedging portion. An end of the wedging portion extends to form a buckling portion. The fastening device also includes a tightly-locking part that fits with the fastening part. One end of the tightly-locking part passes through the main body portion of the fastening part and is positioned on the positioning hole of the circuit board. The second end of the tightly-locking part fits with the buckling portion to tightly lock the fastened object. The fastening device of the present invention merely includes the fastening part and the tightly-locking part. Its structure is simple, and the required space is small.
