  • Patent number: 9071521
Abstract: A method in a first node of a network comprises computing a packet duration when using a first unicast profile with a first type preamble and a packet duration when using a second unicast profile with a second type preamble; comparing the computed packet durations so as to determine one from the first and second unicast profiles which yields a shorter duration; and sending the packet to a second node by using the determined unicast profile.

  • Patent number: 8660216
Abstract: A CFO tracking loop module comprises: a numerically-controlled oscillator (NCO) that calculates a phase output; a CFO phase error block that generates a corrected NCO phase output by subtracting half of residual CFO phase error from the NCO phase output; a multiplier that corrects pilot subcarrier's phase by multiplying complex values of the pilot subcarriers by a conjugated complex value of the corrected NCO phase output; a pilot processor that generates a phase error by averaging phases over pilot subcarriers; and a loop filter that filters phase error from the pilot processor and updates the NCO with the filtered phase error.

  • Patent number: 8407568
Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for a method and system for a soft output Nordstrom-Robinson (NR) decoder may include one or more processors and/or circuits that are operable to more efficiently compute cross correlation values for a received soft output word based on a NR codebook in comparison to brute force computation approaches. Log likelihood ratios may be computed for each information bit corresponding to the received soft output word by determining corresponding maximum cross correlation values.

  • Patent number: 6466564
Abstract: A method and apparatus for interleaving symbols from a one dimensional TDMA 802.14 or MCNS minislot or other TDMA stream into two dimensional arrays in code and time for transmission on a code division multiplexed digital data transmission system. There are two methods disclosed. The first calculates i and j values for storage in RAM as a function of the symbol index in the TDMA stream, the number of codes to be employed, the column space design parameter representing the number of columns in the array, i.e., symbol times, that could be adversely affected by burst noise, and a calculated total number of columns in the array. The result is an array in which no indices of two symbols within any column or between columns of the column space are closer together than a design parameter vertical distance.
