  • Patent number: 11232857
Abstract: Systems and methods for fully-automated contact-less biometric measurement include receiving a stream of image frames from an internet capable device. Frame data is extracted from the stream of image frames. A predictive load balancer selects a worker server based on a load prediction. An interface delivery server communicates the frame data from the internet capable device to the worker server. A set of patient face images captured by the frame data are extracted. A facial recognition machine learning model determines a patient identity associated with the set of patient face images of the frame data. A shared memory system stores the set of patient face images. The worker server determines biometric measurements based on the set of patient face images in the shared memory system using independent biometric data processing pipelines with shared access to the shared memory system for inter-process communication.

  • Patent number: 9867035
Abstract: A device is provided for use with a database having stored therein, a plurality of signatures corresponding to a plurality of actions, respectively. The device includes: a mode determining component that determines whether the device is in a predetermined mode; a device location determining component that determines whether the device is located in a predetermined location; a parameter detecting component operable to detect a predetermined parameter and to generate an action signature based on the detected predetermined parameter; an accessing component operable to access one of the plurality of signatures from the database; and a mode controlling component operable to modify operation of the device based on the comparison signal when said mode determining component determines that the device is operating in the predetermined mode and when the location determining component determines that the device is located in the predetermined location.

  • Publication number: 20150360523
Abstract: A device is provided for use with a database, having stored therein, a plurality of signatures corresponding to an improper state of a tire, respectively. The device includes a vehicle mode determining component, a parameter detecting, component, an accessing component, a comparing component and a warning component. The vehicle mode determining component determines whether the device is operating in a vehicle mode. The parameter detecting component detects a predetermined parameter associated with the improper state of it tire and generates a parameter signature based on the detected predetermined parameter. The accessing component accesses one of the signatures from the database. The comparing component generates a comparison signal based on a comparison of the parameter signature and one of the signatures. The warning component generates an improper tire signal based on the comparison signal when the vehicle mode determining component determines that the device is operating in the vehicle mode.

  • Publication number: 20150365785
Abstract: A device is provided for use with a wireless transceiver operable to transmit a handshake signal within a short wavelength frequency band. The device includes a processing component, a location determining component, a mode determining component, a detecting component and a transmitting component. The processing component is operable to operate in a first mode and a second mode. The location determining component determines when the processing component is in a predetermined location and generates a location signal when the processing component is in the predetermined location. The mode determining component generates a location mode signal based on the location signal. The detecting component detects, based on the location signal, the handshake signal and generates a wake-up signal based on the handshake signal. The transmitting component transmits, based on the wake-up signal, a transmission signal to the wireless transceiver within the short wavelength frequency band.

  • Publication number: 20150364040
Abstract: A device is provided for use at a location. The device includes a processing component, a location mode determining component and a detecting component. The processing component can operate in a location mode when it is at the location and can operate in a second mode. The location mode determining component determines whether the processing component is operating in the location mode and generates a location mode signal when the processing component is operating in the location mode. The detecting component detects an emergency vehicle parameter associated with an emergency vehicle and generates an emergency vicinity signal based on the location mode signal and the detected emergency vehicle parameter.
