Abstract: Real-time facial recognition is augmented with an additional second biometric-based security gesture authentication. Facial biometric authentication is performed on a user for access to a resource. When facial authentication is successful, an image or a video of the user is captured performing a security gesture. Pixel values from the image or video are compared against expected pixel values for the security gesture and when the comparison is within a threshold, the user is provided access to the resource.

Abstract: Real-time facial recognition is augmented with a machine-learning process that samples pixels from images captured for the physical environmental background of a device, which captures an image of a user's face for facial authentication. The background pixel points that are present in a captured image of a user's face from a camera of the device are authenticated with the image of the user's face. The value of the background pixel points are compared against the expected values for the background pixel points provided by the on-going machine-learning process for the background.

A VR session is established and a VA room rendered for participants. Files describing and program instructions for interactively manipulating the terminal are loaded into the VR room. At least one component piece of the SST is manipulated based on direction provided by a VR input device operated by a participant during the VR session.
