  • Patent number: 10318718
Abstract: A user is initially trained for voice authentication within a messaging platform session. After training and during the same session or a different session with the messaging platform session or with a different messaging platform, and when the user requests during such session a sensitive operation be performed on behalf of the user with an external service, a randomly generated voice challenge is delivered to the user during that session. If a returned voice recording from the user is authenticated in response to the issued voice challenge, then the sensitive operation is performed on behalf of the user during the session.

  • Publication number: 20190166119
Abstract: Real-time facial recognition is augmented with an additional second biometric-based security gesture authentication. Facial biometric authentication is performed on a user for access to a resource. When facial authentication is successful, an image or a video of the user is captured performing a security gesture. Pixel values from the image or video are compared against expected pixel values for the security gesture and when the comparison is within a threshold, the user is provided access to the resource.

  • Publication number: 20190095737
Abstract: Real-time facial recognition is augmented with a machine-learning process that samples pixels from images captured for the physical environmental background of a device, which captures an image of a user's face for facial authentication. The background pixel points that are present in a captured image of a user's face from a camera of the device are authenticated with the image of the user's face. The value of the background pixel points are compared against the expected values for the background pixel points provided by the on-going machine-learning process for the background.

  • Publication number: 20190068874
Abstract: One embodiment, in the form of a method, includes capturing at least one image with an imaging device of a machine vision device. The at least one image is captured within an environment within which the machine vision device is deployed. This method then queries a color scheme model based on the captured at least one image to identify a color scheme to utilize within the machine vision device and may subsequently implement the identified color scheme on the machine vision device for processing images captured by the imaging device.

  • Publication number: 20180337909
Abstract: User data is aggregated across a plurality of electronic communication channels and domains. An online system initially authenticates a user for access to the online system over a network. The online system provides a user identifier for the user to an authentication service. The authentication service generates a non-repeatable challenge from the aggregated user data for the user identifier and provides the non-repeatable challenge to the online system. The online system provides the challenge to the user and receives a response from the user. The online system provides the response to the authentication service and the authentication sends a success or failure back to the online system based on the response to the challenge, and based on the success or failure the online system makes a final determination for authenticating the user for accessing to the online system.

  • Publication number: 20180248818
Abstract: An autonomous chat bot monitors actions of users on a messaging platform and generates self-initiated chat sessions with the user to gauge users interest and intent with respect to a target subject matter and the conversations of the chat sessions. Based on the gauged interest and intent, profiles or preferences are generated for the users independent of or relevant to the target subject matter. In an embodiment, customer contact information for the users are provided by the autonomous chat bot to a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for further engaging the customer with respect to the target subject matter or other subject matters determined to be relevant from the profiles or preferences.
