  • Patent number: 10848854
Abstract: A system for estimating an indoor speed of an individual is provided. The system includes a motion sensor attachable to an upper body of the individual and at least one processor being in communication with the motion sensor. The processor is configured for periodically prompting the user to provide a speed value or instructing the user to run/walk at a specific speed value, extracting features from data collected by the motion sensor that correspond to the speed value and calculating a speed of the individual from a probabilistic model.

  • Publication number: 20190029593
Abstract: An earbud for use with, for example, a media player or a smartphone is provided. The earbud includes a housing enclosing a speaker and an optical sensor positioned on the housing such that the optical sensor contacts a surface of tragus when the earbud is positioned in an ear with the speaker directed into an ear canal. The earbud further includes a stabilizing element attachable to the housing and configured for contacting a posterior wall of a cavum or incisura of the ear when the earbud is positioned in the ear with the speaker directed into the ear canal.

  • Publication number: 20180344255
Abstract: System and methods for detecting one or more physiological parameters of a subject are provided. Detecting of physiological parameters can occur through a wearable device that can transmit and receive electromagnetic waves. The received electromagnetic waves are reflections from tissue of the subject. The reflections have motion and noise substantially removed. The one or more physiological parameters can be determined from the motion and noise removed signals.
