  • Patent number: 10828911
Abstract: A duplex printing system and method of configuring the same are described. In examples, an image, such as a test pattern, on one side of a print substrate is printed to be out of phase with an image, such as a test pattern, on the other side of the print substrate. This is achieved by adjusting a configuration of a print buffer that is located between first and second print engines of the duplex printing system. In particular examples, a length of a web within the print buffer is controlled such that the images are out of phase.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 25, 2017
Date of Patent: November 10, 2020
    Assignee: HP Indigo B.V.
Inventors: Moshe Koko Havive, Gilad Greenberg, Zvika Yogev, Arnon Elihav

  • Patent number: 8935980
    Abstract: A printing device (100,101) has a first print engine (103, 303, 603, 703), a second print engine (105, 305, 605, 705), and a buffer device (107, 307, 609, 709, 711) disposed between the first (103, 303, 603, 703) and second print engines (105, 305, 605, 705). The buffer (107, 307, 609, 709, 711) is configured to store a variable amount of web substrate (106, 301, 713) received from the first print engine (103, 303, 603, 703) and feed the substrate (106, 301, 713) to the second print engine (105, 305, 605, 705).

  • Patent number: 8585036
Abstract: A system (100) includes a first end feeder device (103-1), and a second end feeder device (103-2) upstream in a media transport path from the first end feeder device (103-1). Each of the feeder devices (103-1, 103-2, 105-1, 105-2) is configured to feed a piece of a print medium (205) to a neighboring device (103-2, 105-1, 105-2) downstream in the media transport path only after receiving a logical token from the neighboring downstream device (103-2, 105-1, 105-2) corresponding to the piece of print media (205).
