[0004] The cold/hot pack sleeve is positioned on the underside cavity of said body.

[0005] Here has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood.

[0006] In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.

[0007] As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception upon which this disclosure is based may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientists, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal term or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application. The abstract is neither intended to define the invention of the application, which is measured by the claims, nor is it intended to be limiting as to the scope of the invention in any way.

[0008] It is another object of the present invention to provide a new cold/hot pack stuffed toy, which may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed.

[0009] It is further object of the present invention to provide a new cold/hot pack stuffed toy, which is of a durable and reliable construction.

[0010] An even further object of the present invention is to provide a new cold/hot pack stuffed toy which is susceptible to a low cost of manufacture with regard to both materials and labor, and which accordingly is then susceptible to low prices of sale to the consuming public, thereby making such cold/hot pack stuffed toy economically available to the buying public.

[0011] Still another object of the present invention is to offer a new cold/hot pack stuffed toy for providing cooling/heating to a user.

[0012] These together with other objects of the invention, along with the various features of novelty, which characterize the invention, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating advantages and the specific objects attained by its uses, reference should be made to the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated preferred embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0013] The invention will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawing wherein:

[0014] FIG. 1 is a schematic overall perspective view of a new cold/hot pack stuffed toy according to the present invention.

[0015] FIG. 2 is a schematic bottom perspective view of the present invention taken from the vantage of 14 of FIG. 1.

[0016] FIG. 3 is a schematic side perspective view of the present invention taken from the vantage of 14 of FIG. 1.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0017] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1-3 thereof, a new cold/hot pack stuffed toy embodying the principles and concepts of the present invention and generally designated by the reference numeral 1 will be described.

[0018] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1-3, the cold/hot pack stuffed toy 1 generally comprises a body member having a stuffed interior and an outer layer 14 configured to resemble a predetermined figure. A water-resistant cold/hot pack sleeve 16 and slotted opening 17 provide cooling/heating when a cold/hot pack is inserted through the slotted opening 17 and positioned adjacent to the outer layer 14 of the body.

[0019] In closer detail, the body member 1 has a stuffed interior and an outer layer 14 configured to resemble a predetermined figure. Preferably, the predetermined figure resembles an animal. Ideally the predetermined figure resembles a dog and includes a plurality of extremities 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,15. The extremities include a head portion 15, a number of leg portions 6,7,8,9, a tail portion 10, ear portions 4,5, nose portion 11, and tongue portion 12. The head portion is located on the top/front 13 of the body member 1. The head and limb portions 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,15 are configured to resemble the head and limbs of the animal of the predetermined figure.

[0020] The body member 1 has a cavity in the interior 16 of the body member 1. The cavity is positioned adjacent the bottom 2 of the body member 1 with the bottom 2 of the body member 1 having a slotted opening 17 into the cavity. The slotted opening 17 into the cavity has a generally rectangular periphery including a pair of ends, a pair of sides extending the ends of the periphery. In an ideal embodiment, the cavity has a depth from the outer layer 14 of ½ inch into the interior of the body member 1, and the slotted opening 17 has a width defined between the ends of the periphery of the slotted opening 17 of approximately 8 inches. The cold/hot pack sleeve 16 has a length defined between the ends of the periphery of the cold/hot pack sleeve 16 of approximately 9 inches.

[0021] A closure 3 substantially covers the slotted opening 17 into the cavity. The closure 3 is generally rectangular and has a pair of end edges and a pair of side edges. One of the side edges on the closure 3 is pivotally coupled to the outer layer 14 of the body member 1 adjacent to the sides of the periphery of the slotted opening 17 into the cavity. A fastener attaches the side edge of closure 3 to the outer layer 14 of the body member 1. Preferably, the fastener comprises an adhesive hook and loop strip having a pair of complimentary portions with one of the portions of the adhesive hook and loop strip provided on the closure 3 and the other of the complementary portions provided on the outer layer 14 of the body member 1.

[0022] As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.

[0023] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

[0024] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
