Abstract

A golf bag structure having two semi-cylindrical bag bodies having a flat back portion and with a sealed bottom and an opened top, characterized in that the bag body is provided with a lifting strap and one or two pockets, the flat surface of each semi-cylindrical bag bodies are mounted to each other by means of a plurality of connecting members to form as a mother bag to accommodate a whole set of golf clubs, or the two semi-cylindrical bag bodies are detached from each other and any one of the bag bodies is selected as a secondary bag to carry half-set of the golf clubs.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVETION

[0002] The present invention relates to a golf bag and particularly to a golf bag which can be formed from a secondary bag body and a mother bag body.

[0003] (b) Description of the Prior Art

[0004] A full set of golf clubs generally consists of four wooden clubs, nine metal clubs, a putter, golf balls, cap, glove, drinking water, etc. It is not advisable to carry all the golf clubs as a golfer may go for a short trip or to a driving range for practice. It is a need of a golf bag which can be used to accommodate half set of the golf clubs when a full set of the clubs is not needed. This will prevent the heads, shafts and grips of the clubs from knocking or rubbing with each other when all of the clubs are contained in a single compartment golf bag.

[0005] In addition, these clubs are rather heavy and it is not convenient to carry here and there within the boot of the car. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to mitigate the above drawbacks by providing a golf bag which can be detached to form a single compartment and to carry the necessary golf clubs.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a golf bag structure, wherein the bag structure consists of a mother bag body and a secondary bag body. This bag compartment allows the clubs to be separated when they are not needed.

[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide a golf bag structure having two semi-cylindrical bag bodies having a flat back portion and with a sealed bottom and an opened top, characterized in that the bag body is provided with a lifting strap and one or two pockets, the flat surface of each semi-cylindrical bag bodies are mounted to each other by means of a plurality of connecting members to form as a mother bag to accommodate a whole set of golf clubs, or the two semi-cylindrical bag bodies are detached from each other and any one of the bag bodies is selected as a secondary bag to carry half-set of the golf clubs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0019] For the purpose of promoting an understanding of the principles of the invention, reference will now be made to the embodiment illustrated in the drawings. Specific language will be used to describe same. It will, nevertheless, be understood that no limitation of the scope of the invention is thereby intended, such alterations and further modifications in the illustrated device, and such further applications of the principles of the invention as illustrated herein being contemplated as would normally occur to one skilled in the art to which the invention relates. Referring to FIG. 2, there is shown a golf bag including a mother bag and a secondary bag, comprising two hollow, semi-cylindrical bag 1 bodies 10 having a top opening and a bottom seal. A strap 5 and one or two pockets 12 are provided and the opening area of the bag body 1 is provided with a club rack 3 as a club insertion hole 12. The bag body 10 has a flat surface 70 at one lateral side and if the flat surface 70 of the individual bag body are mounted to each other by means of a plurality of connection member 6 as a mother bag 62, the entire set of golf equipment can be accommodated therein. One of the bag bodies 10 can be detached by releasing the connection member 6 and one of them is a secondary bag to hold half-set of the golf equipment. If the golf bag is not in use, both of the bag bodies 10 can be connected and save space for storage. FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the golf bag structure.

[0020] In accordance with the present invention, the region around the opening of the bag body 1 is provided with a club rack 3 as a club insertion hole 12, and the cylindrical body 10 is provided with a strap 5 and one or two pockets 4. A secondary bag 60 having a cylindrical-shaped contour body 10 is mounted to another secondary bag and accommodate half set of the golf equipment (refer to FIG. 4). The cross-section area of the other secondary bag 60 is substantially semi-cylindrical, and the contour of one section of the bag 60 is a concave shape surface 7 corresponding to the circular surface of the cylindrical body 10 of the secondary bag 60, and by means of a plurality of connection members 6, the secondary bags 60 are connected to form a mother bag 62 to hold a full set of golf equipment (as shown in FIG. 5).

[0021] FIG. 6 shows another preferred embodiment of the preset golf bag body 1. A cylindrical bag body 1 having a larger space 2 is used as a mother bag 62, and the mother bag 62 is provided with a strap 5 and one or two pocket 4. One side of the opening of the mother bag 62 is provided with a club rack 3 and the other side of the opening is provided with a small space 2 having a shape which can accommodate the secondary bag body 60. The opening of the cylindrical bag 60 can also be provided with a club rack 3 to accommodate half set of the golf club. For a short trip, the user can just withdraw the secondary bag body 62 from the mother bag 62.

[0022] In the above preferred embodiments, the mounting of a secondary bag 60 with a mother bag 62 is done by means of a plurality of connection members 6, including belt 8 (referring to FIGS. 2 and 3), adhesive tape 80 (referring to FIGS. 4 and 5) engaging peg 82 (referring FIGS. 6 and 7), sliding slot 84 (referring to FIG. 8), zip 86 (referring to FIG. 9), fastener 88 (referring to FIG. 10).

Claims

1. A golf bag structure having two semi-cylindrical bag bodies having a flat back portion and with a sealed bottom and an opened top, characterized in that the bag body is provided with a lifting strap and one or two pockets, the flat surface of each semi-cylindrical bag bodies are mounted to each other by means of a plurality of connecting members to form as a mother bag to accommodate a whole set of golf clubs, or the two semi-cylindrical bag bodies are detached from each other and any one of the bag bodies is selected as a secondary bag to carry half-set of the golf clubs.

A golf bag structure having two semi-cylindrical bag bodies having a flat back portion and with a sealed bottom and an opened top, characterized in that the bag body is provided with a lifting strap and one or two pockets, the flat surface of each semi-cylindrical bag bodies are mounted to each other by means of a plurality of connecting members to form as a mother bag to accommodate a whole set of golf clubs, or the two semi-cylindrical bag bodies are detached from each other and any one of the bag bodies is selected as a secondary bag to carry half-set of the golf clubs, wherein one of the cross-section of the two bags is a cylindrical shape as a secondary bag to accommodate half set of the golf club and the other cross-section is a semi-circular shape as another secondary bag, and a depress is formed at the semi-circular bag, by means of mutual mounting of the cylindrical body and with a plurality of connection members, the two bags are mounted with each other to form the golf bag structure.

A golf bag structure having two semi-cylindrical bag bodies having a flat back portion and with a sealed bottom and an opened top, characterized in that the bag body is provided with a lifting strap and one or two pockets, the flat surface of each semi-cylindrical bag bodies are mounted to each other by means of a plurality of connecting members to form as a mother bag to accommodate a whole set of golf clubs, or the two semi-cylindrical bag bodies are detached from each other and any one of the bag bodies is selected as a secondary bag to carry half-set of the golf clubs, wherein the cylindrical bag body has a large space as the mother bag provided with an opening at one lateral side to adapt to a club rack and with a cylindrical secondary bag having a smaller space at the other lateral side, corresponding to the mother bag and is vertically mounted so as to accommodate the entire golf set, and the secondary bag is provided with an opening having a club rack to accommodate half set of golf equipment, and the secondary bag is detachable from the mother bag by vertically withdrawing the secondary bag from the mother bag.

4. An golf bag structure as set forth in claim 1, wherein the connection members for more than two bag bodies includes belts, adhesive tapes, engaging pegs, sliding recesses zip and fasteners to connect the mother bag with the secondary bag.

5. An golf bag structure as set forth in claim 2, wherein the connection members for more than two bag bodies includes belts, adhesive tapes, engaging pegs, sliding recesses zip and fasteners to connect the mother bag with the secondary bag.

6. An golf bag structure as set forth in claim 3, wherein the connection members for more than two bag bodies includes belts, adhesive tapes, engaging pegs, sliding recesses zip and fasteners to connect the mother bag with the secondary bag.
