Golf putter

A golf puffer has a neck including a front part and a rear part connected to an intermediate portion and a rear portion of a top side of the head of the putter respectively. The upper end portions of both the front and the rear parts are connected such that the neck has a substantially inverted shape. The shaft of the putter is connected to the upper end portions. The head is not likely to be unwarily diverted on the way of moving forwards to hit a golf ball because the joint between the neck front part and the head is relatively close to the center of gravity of the head.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a golf putter, and particularly to one of which the head cannot be easily unwarily diverted when the golf player moves the putter forwards to lightly hit the golf ball.

[0002] A golf player moves a putter forwards to lightly hit the golf ball from the face of the putter in order for same to move along the ground towards the hole. When the face of the head hits the golf ball, the ball will move forwards in a direction perpendicular to the face. Therefore, it is important to control the position of the head well in order to have a good performance in putting.

[0003] Referring to FIG. 3, a conventional golf putter has a head 10 and a shaft 20. The head 10 has a neck 102 and a face 101; the neck 102 is fixed to a top side of a rear end portion of the head 10. The shaft 20 is connected to the neck 102 from a lower end portion, and connected to a grip (not shown) from an upper end portion.

[0004] However, the conventional golf putter is found to have a disadvantage: the neck 102 is relatively far away from the center of gravity of the head 10. Consequently, if the golf player fails to hold the golf putter firmly in moving same to putt the golf ball, the face 101 is likely to be diverted on the way of moving the putter, making the golf ball move in a wrong direction as shown in FIG. 5.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Therefore, it is a main object of the present invention to provide a golf putter, of which the face of the head is less likely to be unwarily diverted on the way of moving same to putt the golf ball.

[0006] The neck has a front part, and a rear part connected to an intermediate portion, and a rear end portion of a top side of the head of the putter. The front part and the rear part of the neck are connected to each other from upper end portion; the shaft of the putter is connected to the upper end portions of the front, and the rear parts by means of a connecting member.

[0007] Because the joint between the front part and the head is disposed relatively closed to the center of gravity of the head, the head is not likely to be diverted on the way of moving forwards to hit the golf ball.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008] This invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

[0009] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a golf putter according to the present invention.

[0010] FIG. 2 is a top view of the golf putter of the present invention, being moved to hit a golf ball.

[0011] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the conventional golf putter as described in the Background.

[0012] FIG. 4 is a top view of the conventional putter in FIG. 3.

[0013] FIG. 5 is a top view of the conventional putter, being moved to hit a golf ball.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] Referring to FIG. 1, a golf putter of the present invention includes a head 1, a neck 2 and a shaft 3.

[0015] The neck 2 has a front part 21 and a rear part 22 connected to an intermediate portion, and a rear end portion of the top side of the head 1 respectively. The upper end portion of the front part 21 and the upper end portion of the rear part 22 are connected for the neck 2 to have an inverted “Y” shape.

[0016] The shaft 3 is connected to the upper end of the neck 2 from a lower end portion by means of a connecting member 23.

[0017] When a golf player moves the putter forwards to hit the golf ball from the face of the head, the head 1 is less likely to be diverted than that of the conventional putter in the Background because the joint between front part 21 of the neck 2, and the head 1 is relatively close to the center of gravity of the head 1.

[0018] Therefore, when the golf player moves the putter to hit the golf ball, the head 1 can be easily directed to a desired direction without unwarily diversion.

[0019] From the above description, the golf putter of the present invention can be seen to have a desirable feature that a golf player can have better performance when using same instead of the conventional putter because the head is less likely to be unwarily diverted on the way of moving the putter forwards.
